That is a little stencilled drawer that I got for a few cents at a garage sale . It's the perfect size for the small ( cocktail size) paper napkins so it stays out on the counter. I love little drawers and collect them. I know that's odd but there you are. When my DH gets an old piece of furniture given to him ( as happens once in a while) if there are drawers in good shape I take them before he dismantles the piece ( to salvage the wood). Wow! Tha'ts some long explanation.
Not odd at all to collect drawers....I got 4 drawers free at a garage sale that were from a treddle sewing machine. They have such beautiful carving on the front and they're so handy to put things into, both decorative and practical.
So lovely, it makes me want to invite myself over for a cup of tea. What do you have in the wooden box by your Memory Lane dishes? Postcards?
