More Tea cups

I really had made up my mind to resist buying any more tea cups, and I did, too. I went to the thrift store this morning and came home with a stack of reading material and one cute little jug ( .50).
Came home and at lunchtime when my son came home he brought me two pretty cups and saucers that some move-out had left behind. What could I do, right?
The first one is Rosina....  I'm fairly sure that's the maker, not pattern name. I love the shape of the cup and the simplicity of the pattern.

This one is made by Royal Vale and has bright pink and  yellow roses.

Here's my little jug with its green band on the bottom.

The weather today was a mix of sun and cloud. I had a nice walk in the morning and, like I said, went to the thrift store. After lunch I began cutting down my Irises. Quit when my back protested but I'll get it done eventually. My eldest daughter and the birthday girl came for a visit. We sat on the porch. I am going to miss sitting out there when it gets too chilly.

Thanks for visiting. Please leave a comment so I know you were here.

    2. Ha, that's funny! Hard to stop collecting isn't it? And when others collect for us, well what is a person to do;-)

  3. Aw! Your sweet son! See? Teacups are coming your way even if you try to slow the flow!
I think I'm ready for fall but I forget that I don't really like to be cold! Soon enough.
Little by little. You'll get the iris trimmed.

  4. The teacups are so pretty! I finally found a teacup and saucer in a Goodwill store but it was $8.00 for each piece! I did not buy it! Doesn't that sound high?

    1. I agree. $8 seems very expensive. Keep looking and sooner or later you'll find some more reasonably priced ones.
