Time for a bath

No fancy Dog Spa or such for Bracken, just a good old fashioned bath. Mind you, he had floating pink Clematis petals in the water. He wasn't impressed.  Nevertheless, he smells and looks a lot nicer now.

Shortly after I snapped this picture he was off running around like crazy and shaking. Then he came back for his treat.

Thanks for dropping by.

  1. It looks like back breaking work. I used to get Chance in the tub and do him myself but he is too heavy now. If I had it to do over I would have built a janitors sink in the laundry room:)

  2. Made me smile, our dog goes to the parlour as he needs to be cut on a regular basis. I have tried to do it myself but he always ends up looking ridiculous so these days I just pay the money. Have a good day.

  3. I always had to take my dog to the groomers for a bath--she HATED them and it was the only time she ever would bare her teeth.

  4. When it comes to drying off after a bath it seems like all dogs use the same method. I'm sure Bracken is happy to be fresh and clean.

  6. We have bathed our dogs like that, but usually I just use the basement bathtub and get down on my knees next to it. Bosleys though has a good deal. $10 to bath your dog, and the tubs are raised so you are standing up and they supply everything, shampoo, towels, waterproof aprons and blow dryers.

    1. Thanks, Karen. But I must admit if we get down on our knees, bathe the dog then try to get back up again.... well, good luck.
Also Bracken has strange fears and at almost 8 I can't see him adjusting to Bosleys ( where are they located anyway?). Next dog I get is going to get used to that kind of arrangement from the beginning.

  8. What a nice old-fashioned dog! No complaints about the cold water from the garden hose. The flower petals were a pretty luxurious addition. :)
