Too much sunshine

No doubt you're wondering why, when I've done so much complaining about rain, now I'm saying too much sunshine???   We had a lovely day and I spent hours outside in that glorious sunshine and now my face glows as red as can be. Didn't occur to me for one minute that I needed a sun hat! Hopefully the 'glow' fades a bit. I look like a lobster.

On the positive side, I got lots done. Then I came in and baked muffins and made supper. Now I'm quite wworn out.
I hope you had a lovely Monday as well.

Thanks for visiting,

Granny Marigold

  2. Hi Granny Marigold, oh too bad about your sunburn. I was wondering the same thing on Sunday as we spent most of the beautiful day outside. I do wear moisturizer with sunscreen in it so it must have been working!
Monday was lovely and warm here too. I took three different walks!
    Take care.

  4. Oh no!!!!! The spring sunshine "snuck-up" on you! Not gooood! -sigh-

And you have so much pep! Did yard work in the sun, and came in and baked!!!! Amazing!!!!!

And btw, in telling me the "why" of your blog name, on this post of mine, I just love it that your grand suggested Granny Marigold!

And that group, where you had to have a Faerie Name and exchanged snail mail... They sound like a delightful group too!!!!!!!!

  5. We spent Monday outside as well, gardening at our daughter's house. We were quite worn out as well, but not sunburned.

  8. Well that sun on Monday was a fond memory, wasn't it? Be careful with the sun. I've had skin cancer removed, back in my 20's. Finally clearing up this afternoon, at least at the moment.
