Happy Mothers Day

I hope you are all having an enjoyable Sunday whether it involves a family 'do' or not. Enjoy the day.

My Lily-of-the-valley are spreading a bit too vigorously and I've begun to dig some out. I'm glad they are happy, but I do want to have room for other perennials!!
I love to bring them in and their scent is so delicate!!

I'm posting these pictures for Ellabie, who has more kinds of Daylilies ( and other Lilies) than I  will ever have!!
These didn't come with names but you can see what they ( hopefully) will look like when they bloom.

I had space for 3 so I bought 2 of the above and one of the reddish one below.

While looking for the Daylilies I spotted these Lilies.  There were 6  small plants about 6" high for a very reasonable price.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.

  2. I have many daylilies and I just love them. They don't require much care and they last a long time after they bloom.

  3. I hope you had an enjoyable Mother's Day.
Believe it or not I have had no luck growing lily-of-the-valley. I remember my mom growing them and that delicious scent.
Your newest daylilies look so pretty. They, on the other hand, do very well in my garden.

  7. Lily-of-the-valley reminds me of my childhood for some reason. I wonder if my grandma had them in her flower bed? They look so pretty in that vase. :)

  8. I hope you had a nice Mother's Day. I did enjoying the kids living near by and missing the ones on the east coast I don't have any lily of the valley here but I did in Michigan and love the smell of it. Nancy

  9. Hope you were pampered on Mother's Day! Thanks for posting the pics of your new daylilies. I can't quite make out what kind of Siloam daylily the first package is as the staple is right across the name. I think you'll be very happy with your other new one (South Seas) as it is a lovely coral color (one of my favorites but then I have so many favs). So many daylily cultivars, so little space, lol!

  10. I hope you had a nice Mother's Day. :) Your Lily of the Valley is so pretty. I was working in mine yesterday, but they are about gone now. I also noticed that I had a lot more "green" than bloom this year. The other lilies that you purchased are so pretty. I'll look forward to seeing them when they bloom.
