Sunday

As we so often do we go walking at a different park than the one near us.  Hardly anyone out and about. A variety of waterfowl including a number of pairs of Wood Ducks. They are so pretty, especially the male.  ( pictures from the internet. I could get a good shot of them.)

I took a few photos as we walked....

...spied some painted rocks with encouraging words tucked into crotches in trees.

It's a lovely day here in B.C. and if the weather forecast is right then we can look forward to a relatively sunny week.  I'll be spending time outside ( instead of watching Hopalong Hollow  on You Tube).  Have you watched the latest one?  Posted April first and entitled Seeding, Weeding, and Birds.  She makes pea soup and chive and cheese biscuits. Definitely another fun video.

Thanks for coming by, Stay safe and well,    G.M.

  2. Thanks for suggesting Hopalong Hollow... I am looking for something new to watch... how did you know?? ;-) No walk for us today, it is another dreary, rainy day. I love the stones... I have some here that my grands made that I need to place now that spring is here. Stay safe and well.

  3. It's cloudy and cold here today. I am doing some sewing and some reading and some exercising, trying to keep sciatica from plaguing me. I really hope I can get out and do some gardening next week.

  4. Love the rock with the messages on them.
I didn't see one person out when I walked this morning and only 3 cars all the way to town!
Those wood ducks look amazing. I've never seen one in person. The colors are spectacular. Look painted.

  5. These stones are beautiful! This new custom also is beginning to make circles in Europe. Nice communication!

Stay healthy and happy and enjoy fine walks in the wonderful nature and good weather!

  7. Our weather is supposed to improve this week too so I'm looking forward to some walks in the neighborhood. We're not supposed to drive anywhere to exercise. Only what you can do at home or walking/biking in your own neighborhood. They don't want possible accidents etc., tying up the emergency workers who are needed elsewhere. If you're seen you are reminded to stay in your own area. I'll sure be glad when all of this is over but we will have stories to tell won't we?
    Have a great afternoon.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  8. I need to remember to look at Hopalong's videos...the name alone intrigues me. I keep thinking Lorelei and I should paint some rocks...

  9. I made a promise back in the drought of 2012 to never complain about rain again, so I don't! But some sunshine around here would be mighty nice about now! :~) Wood ducks are among our favorite visitors to the ponds during the winter and spring. I haven't watched the latest Hopalong Hollow video. Thanks for the reminder!

  11. Oh what adorable little rocks. So neat. Our county has a group that loves rock painting and will leave them all over. I hope that you have a wonderful Eater dear GM. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  12. What sweet sentiments people are painting on rocks, such a wonderful, thoughtful gesture being made during these hard times for us.

  13. The wood ducks are so beautiful. The male doesn't even look real. He looks like a painted decoy. There were a pair of wood ducks on our pond late yesterday. The female kept swimming around looking up at the duck box. We were sure hoping she would like the box and build a nest there. They flew away. You take care. Oh, thank you for telling me about your husband taking Ibuprofen and the problems he had. I do worry about taking it for 30 days, but is has really helped my pain. Love, Henny
