Yet another puzzle finished.
I finished reading my latest library book. Definitely recommend it.
Ten years ago, Lena Donohue experienced a
wedding-day betrayal so painful that she fled the small town of
Watersend, South Carolina, and reinvented herself in New York City.
Though now a freelance travel writer, the one place she rarely goes is
home--until she learns of her dad's failing health.
Fridays Eldest and Youngest come for lunch and stay to help us. More power washing was done.
Also more tidying up the flowerbeds. DH wore out his old recliner and we found a replacement at the thrift store. While they were here the old one was loaded onto the pick up and taken away.
"the real evidence of growing older is that things level off in importance ... Days are no longer jagged peaks to climb; time is a meadow, and we move over it with level steps." ~ Gladys Taber
Thanks for visiting.
I like that Gladys Tabernacle quote, although my days are still kinda hilly.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to have family come to help! You get to visit and still accomplish some needed things.
A good day ... I like that puzzle.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
It's so nice that you have family nearby who can help out when you needit.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great quote. Another great day for you. The puzzle is great and I'm glad that your husband got the recliner and you had more help in the yard. Every day that is good is a good day.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Thank you for the Gladys Taber quote, I've saved it to remind myself in the future!
ReplyDeleteWow, that sounds like a good book. I am reading 'The Girl In The Window' and am enjoying it.
ReplyDeleteA perfect quote from Gladys Taber.
ReplyDeleteIt's great when you can find exactly what you need when you hit the thrift stores! We went gallivanting today and I found a large tablecloth that will be reinvented into an apron or two. Your puzzle looks like it was alot of fun to do. I will have to see if dear sister of mine will check the local library for the book you mention since she has a library card and I don't. It looks like a great read! Thanks for the recommendation.
