It was a chilly minus 6C when we walked this morning. The lake is frozen and lots of footprints show that not only birds and raccoons have been on the ice but humans too. Hopefully the ice is thick enough to prevent any accidents.
Tomorrow (the 12th) will be our second full moon of 2025 and is known as the snow moon. The snow moon certainly lives up to its name right across Canada this year.. According to our forecast clouds move in on the weekend bringing rain which should wash away our snow.

We went to the thrift store this afternoon; I didn't find anything I wanted probably because I didn't need anything. When we came back I made a few jars of jam....strawberry this time ( still have berries that we froze last summer ). Worked on the puzzle. We're almost finished it. Didn't get any housework done but I'll get to that tomorrow.

ReplyDeleteThat is very chilly! I would not even attempt to walk on a frozen lake. I'd probably slip and break something, even if it was solid enough to hold me. Funny sign.
ReplyDeleteWithout a good sky window here anymore, we missed the moon. I see in internet photos that it was spectacular setting behind the Olympic Mountains.

ReplyDeleteIt has been very snowy where we are too! Sounds like you had a fun a fun day thrifting and making jam. I didn't end up getting any house work done today either but I am hoping to have my carpets cleaned tomorrow! Hope you have a good rest of your week!

We had snow all night and almost all day today. I think we ended up with around 5 inches. I didn't go anywhere and actually even stayed in my jammies all day. What a treat. Tomorrow I'm taking dinner to a new mom at church so I'll have to get out and about.

OMG...the meme. LOVED it. I guess it's good you didn't need anything from the thrift store. Snow seems to be coming again in lots of areas. You guys up north are really being hit. Stay warm and safe.

We haven't been able to see the moon, too cloudy. Cold and just not pleasant out, switching from snow to rain and back again. Yuck.
ReplyDeleteWent thrifting too, but came home with a lot! I should practice your restraint. In my defense most will be cleaned up and resold.
I laughed out loud at the admonition about listening to oneself. I have to talk to myself a lot lately if I want to be sure I won't lose my thought before I get a task done.
