Hello March

March has come in as a lamb for us with sunshine and warm temperatures.

from Nature Diary of an Edwardian Lady

Crocuses are opening. Looks like they are mainly purple with a few clumps of white.  I think I may have some yellow ones in the front yard.   The bees are busily visiting one flower after another.

We attended an Open House for DH's brother's 80th birthday. It makes Saturday feel more like a Sunday. It doesn't take much for me to get my days of the week mixed up.

Otherwise not much to blog about.

Thanks for coming by.

  1. The Crocuses look so pretty! I know what you mean about mixing up days. I sometimes have to look at my phone to make sure what day it is!

  3. Oh, I love those crocus. So pretty and delicate. It was 63 yesterday and 31 today! But another warm up is supposed to begin tomorrow. I have a hard time remembering days too since we retired. I always know it's Sunday because of church and with Hubby's volunteering on Tuesday and Wednesdays at the mission. That helps, but I still forget! It's a nice problem to have.
    Blessings,

  5. The Diary of an Edwardian Lady takes me back! She was everywhere at one time - but her lovely book is timeless.

  8. Can't believe you've got flowers blooming already. You're some distance north of us, and we still have piles of snow!

  14. I envy you those diets of crocuses! I have little luck with them here, but I will try again this fall.
You know, I have that book. I need to find it. Such a gentle look at nature. Thank you for reminding me.

  16. Do your crocuses multiply year by year? I have some newly planted ones that are blooming now, but I haven't noticed any bees drinking at them.
