Morning Glory

What a lovely surprise to find another Morning Glory that is very different. As you can see it is not only bigger than the other flowers but a totally different colour.

This is the one I found a week or so ago. I'm beginning to believe the packet of seeds I chose had a few odd seeds. Not that I mind in the least 🌸🌸🌸

I found this cute picture and decided to include it but really it makes very little difference to those of us who are retired whether it's Wednesday or Friday.  It is going to be hot again so I'm off to do a bit of tidying in the garden then I'll sit on the porch with a fan keeping me cool until it gets too warm.

Thanks for visiting

  1. We sometimes have trouble figuring out what day it is!
Love those morning glories. The blue looks like a cultivated variety, while the purple looks like the wild ones I get sometimes in my gardens.
I just came in from the garden, after FINALLY getting my fall carrots and onions planted, and more lettuce seeded. I hoes out the stuff I planted earlier, and was really pleased at how well it's all doing despite the lack of rain. We have watered some, though. About half of my leeks survived, which amazed me! They were so tiny, and thrn it was so hot and dry i thought they were all dead.

  6. I was out in the garden this morning. "tidying up", too, and Tom was doing some heavier cutting back. We both came in for a rest and then lunch, tired and sweaty. Tom is back out there, but I am done with gardening for the day.
Those morning glories are SO pretty.

  9. I lose track of the days all of the time now that I'm not working. Sunday is the only day that's different. The flowers are so pretty and definitely different than what I've seen before. Very beautiful.
We actually turned the heat on in the camper tonight because it's supposed to get down to 45. We're trying to test everything out this week to make sure it all works so that works out well for us.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  12. What a pretty collection of morning glories. I hope the smoke hasn't been too bad for you.

  13. I only grew the climbing morning glories once, and they took the paint off the steps and railings they were climbing on -- but they were so pretty. Now I grow perennial *ground* morning glories, which aren't as showy, but are very drought tolerant, so they endure, and only trail along the ground. It's pretty special to have three types of blooms there!!
