Tuesday Trivia

Is your week off to a good start?  Here the sun is shining and no rain is in the forecast.  We did have rain on Saturday, I think it was, and our sandy soil does dry out fast.  I watered some of my many pots outside, the ones that didn't get rained on.
Shannon ( Eldest) came over and while she was here took pictures with her phone. It takes such great pictures that I'll post a few today and the rest tomorrow.
This Clematis is doing so well.  I have 2 more of this variety and they are not nearly as full of blooms as this one.

Campanula Glomerata,  if I'm correct. Quite a spreader!!!

 My one and only Peony.

A little later.......Grandson M came up to tell me that a house on the street over is on fire. Needless to say we went to see. If it had to be any house I'm glad it was that one. It was in bad condition. He took pictures but hasn't sent them over to me yet.

That's it for today. Thanks for coming by.

  4. Your Clematis is beautiful. Mine is losing leaves at the bottom :( I hope no one was hurt in the fire.

  5. I think I have that Campanula. I got it from my sister, and it is a spreader, maybe too much.

  6. We had pouring rain for about 15 hours last night and today. It was great for the gardens and grass. Love the photos of your beautiful flowers but I'm sorry to hear about the house burning That's sad.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  9. That Clematis is absolutely gorgeous! Such a delicate shade of lavender. I've never known the technical name for the purple flower, but it looks quite similar to the purple one currently blooming in my one perennial bed. If it is the same as what I have I can definitely attest to the fact that it is a spreader.

I'm sorry to hear of a fire. We just received a prayer request this morning for a couple whose house was destroyed by fire when the tank to their grill exploded and caught the house on fire. The man has been life flighted to a medical facility.

  10. I've been wanting an arbor for the back yard, so I've been looking for climbers that will do well here on the Texas coast. Your clematis is pretty as all the others. I still think you have a 'green' thumb! lol Your plants are always full and healthy looking. I don't have that talent even though I try, my GD is like you, all her plants do so well. Hope you're doing well and having a good day.

  14. Hey Granny Marigold. Your flowers are so pretty! I love the Clematis! I am having to start all over with mine as Eli, bless his heart, got tangled in the vine and broke it in several places. Only a couple of blooms now.

Hope, that nobody was hurt by the flames of the nearby house.

  16. Your clematis is so lovely, and inspiring. I wonder if I could find a place to plant one -- I never have had a clematis in my garden, but there is a brilliant cobalt blue one at church so I know it could do well around here.
