DH had things he wanted to do in the west end of town ( where there just happens to be another thrift store. Actually 3 more.) He dropped me off and I spent a lovely hour browsing happily. I found these nice plastic tubs that I hope to fill with Christmas treats eventually.
I saw this cute little purse? obviously home sewn. It has a main compartment and on each side another compartment with flaps that fasten with an elastic and a button. It measures 7 by 9 inches. The fabric has Autumn leaves and dragonflies 💛. I have no idea what I'll use it for. Any ideas?
Granddaughter Kate told me that today was National Cat Day so here's my Kitty.....
....and Kate's cat who is Miss Kitty's son. He was the only kitten of the 5 that looked like her.
After my busy day I'm ready to sit and read for a while before I head for bed.
Thanks for taking the time to come by.

Awwww....I love ❤️ the cats 🐈 😻 🐈⬛️ so sweet and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGreat treasures from the thrift 5.
I really LOVE this post, dear Granny Marigold!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE "Cat's day" to celebrate in the heart and I love the loving photos of Miss Kitty and her son. They have got the best homes! The other babies of Miss Kitty , too! Your granddaughter is an angel like you - - - -
I really can imagine, that you will fill the new boxes with fine Christmas treats. The bag is very nice!
I would use the pretty purse as a gift, filled with perhaps little soaps.
ReplyDeleteYou found more useful items while thrifting. The little purse is cute. Miss Kitty's son looks alot like the tuxedo cat we had years ago. Her name was Sadie...I miss her :(
ReplyDeleteMore good finds at the thrift store. Sitting down and reading sounds great!
ReplyDeleteLove that last sentiment. It's true. Retirement has taken much of that "waiting" away for us. We enjoy each day that the Lord gives us as it comes. :-) You have some great finds from the thrift store. Those containers will definitely be useful for holiday baking. The bag would be great to carry a book and your phone in if you have a wait somewhere. Or for me, a small knitting project like my socks. Both kitties are so sweet looking. They both resemble our tuxedo cat "George" who died almost 15 years ago. I still miss him. He was the most affectionate and cuddly cat I've ever known. If Miss Piper weren't so allergic to cats, we would definitely have one now, probably instead of a dog. Ha!
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
Nice thrifty finds:)
ReplyDeleteI like that little bags too but no idea what it might be for.
ReplyDeleteThose little containers you purchased at the thrift store will be perfect to share some Christmas goodies with others.
ReplyDeleteYou have a real eye for a good poster. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteSaw your comment on Jeanna's blog and had to come over and see who Granny Marigold is! Love the cats. One of our 5 is a Tuxie, and he has such a social purrsonality. You make me want to drop everything and head to the thrift store.
