Hello my friends on this wintery Sunday. We went over to GD Kate's to meet her new cat, Peaches, who is quite adorable. Although she looks like a kitten she's actually a full grown cat.
Another lovely bouquet of flowers.
My Saturday baking....lemon scones and Carrot muffins
I requested this book from the library but it isn't quite what I had hoped it would be. The recipes are far too fancy for my kitchen even though the author's story of how she left New York to live with her husband in rural Ireland are interesting.
That's it for today. I hope you're safe and warm wherever you are. Thanks for visiting.

Dear friend, Peaches is adorable. Lovely photo of both of them.
ReplyDeleteI really like the illustration at the end of your post.
Your lemon ๐ scones and carrot ๐ฅ muffins ๐ look delicious.
Sweet cat and beautiful flowers. Love your baking we are in the middle of a snowstorm now.

Grandma, it's around 40° here, so I would like to have, for a while, the cold weather you have over there. A delicious snack, and over there, it's a pleasure to turn on the oven.
ReplyDeleteYour baking looks good, your flowers are lovely and Peaches is adorable.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Peaches is adorable, so cute!!
ReplyDeleteYour baking looks delicious.
I don't usually do fancy recipes either.
Oh my! Peaches is such a cutie, amazing that she’s full grown! Lovely flowers and doily…and oh my gosh, your baking looks so delicious! Such a nice visit, thanks and have a great week.

Sweet picture of Peaches! And your scones are making my mouth water.
ReplyDeleteI think your granddaughter's kitty is a real cutie. My daughter had a peaches kitty, but she was orange. Your flowers are beautiful and nice to see in winter time. You do a lot of delicious looking baking....I'd be eating it all, I think. It is very cold here.....31 below zero Fahrenheit. Hopefully we will climb out of this deep freeze soon. Take good care.
ReplyDeleteThis sweet cat really looks like a young kitten. So nice! In my radio I hear about a lot of snow, storm and very cold temperatures. Stay save! You are as always a blessing for all with love, flowers, warm heart and delicious cakes.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers have brightened a dull grey rainy morning here. Sweet little cat... Lucky GD!
ReplyDeleteLovely kitten! How pretty your bouquet is.
ReplyDeleteShe really does look like a kitten. Love the bakes!
ReplyDeleteKittens, flowers and fresh baked goods all sound nice to me. Too bad the cookbook didn't live up to your expectations.
ReplyDeleteYour baking looks delicious, GM, especially those scones!
ReplyDeleteKate's cat is adorable...so cuddly. Your baking looks delicious, as always. Stay warm and safe.
ReplyDeleteYummy from your oven!! The cat does look like a kitten, she's very pretty, as are your flowers!! Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute cat! Small kittens/cats are nice:) Pretty flowers!
ReplyDeleteWow! That cat does look like a kitten! Fascinating! I know what you mean about cookbooks that can have too many fancy ingredients or techniques, but you think it's going to be simple based on the title or cover. I really like Marion Cunningham. I find her to be pretty simple. Like her rescue biscuits. That is if you agree to use Crisco which I will on occasion!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty kitty! Pretty granddaughter too.
ReplyDeleteYour baking looks delicious. I have been a lazy cook the past couple days, but I will change that tomorrow!
The kitty looks so cute and sweet. I do miss having a cat but Dennis is sick of litter boxes. That baking looks so delicious. Sure wish we were neighbors. Ha!
ReplyDeleteBlessings and love,
Betsy
I love scones and sometimes bake cheese one! You did a lot of baking! Your flower bouquet is very nice.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet kitty. First thing I thought was how big its paws are, but being fool grown makes sense. Carrot muffins? Yes, please!
