After another night with temperatures dipping into the minuses I think we've moved into our more normal winter weather. We had 11 dry days in a row which is a rare winter streak for our area. However, the next week is forecast to bring 30 to 50 mm of rain along with milder temperatures.
Because the porch got so cold even though it's closed in I was bringing my store-bought Primroses in for the nights. Now they'll be okay staying out and in a few weeks I'll transplant them into the dirt.
I made a simple banner for the front door. Because it get used a lot and tape wasn't enough to hold it I used my powerful little magnets ( those black blobs)
.On the outside I hung a wreath that I've used for many years.
This is the latest puzzle that we finished.
I hope you're having a lovely day. Thanks for taking the time to visit.

I love those early store bought primroses. I always have a hard time not buying every color.
ReplyDeleteWe do have primroses from previous years blooming in the garden right now.
Your decorations are pretty. Heart month is coming up fast.
I love the 'Amish' puzzle. It's so similar to a cross stitch deign that I sewed some years ago.
ReplyDeleteI wish we could be looking forward to planting outside. It's still below zero here at night but today is supposed to be in the teens. It will be months before that's possible around here. Enjoy your afternoon and those beautiful primrose.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
Lovely primroses and I like the door decor!
ReplyDeleteThe primroses are gorgeous, love the colors! Your banner and heart are very sweet decorations for Valentine’s Day but I would leave the banner up most of the year.🩷 I think the puzzle artwork is that of Charles Wysocki, if I’m not mistaken…I love, LOVE his work. That’s a great quote! And YOU have a lovely day too🩷

ReplyDeleteOh, I need to work on my current puzzle - thanks for the reminder!
ReplyDeleteYour primroses are so beautiful. I love your valentine decorations...I am so sad I can't put mine up yet because we still have all our Christmas decor up. Waiting for decent weather to put it away. It has been sooooo cold. Hubby has to spend alot of time outdoors to put it away. Soon I hope.
ReplyDeleteI'm very excited to get to gardening this year. I have a ways to go still but it's lovely to see all the flowers on blogs.
ReplyDeleteYou did a nice puzzle. The next one I’ll do will be a Jane Austen one. I like your primroses here it’s Bougainvilleas!
ReplyDeleteI got a free primrose at the garden centre when browsing, planted it on my allotment (land you rent to grow veg on), it hasnt flowered yet but Im hopeful.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are so pretty! Cool puzzle!
ReplyDeleteStay warm!

Love your header photo. Your primroses are in such beautiful colors. Your Valentine banner is adorable. I'm glad you found a way to hang it on the door.
ReplyDeleteLive the banner and your wreath I have not put one valentine thing out yet.
ReplyDeleteWe have had very long stretches of cold I am very tired of it.

I bought one of those primrose pots and it fared well on the porch even in the cold weather. Do you plant them in the garden and leave them? I do, but they never bloom quite as nicely again.
ReplyDeleteYour Valentine decorations are just right!
I love your primroses! The door wreath is a perfect way to brighten up a winter's day. We are still in drought conditions even though snow, ice and sleet cover everything.
ReplyDeleteOur temps have been extremely cold for us, something we don't have often. Still, as cold as it was, it wasn't as cold as what you're having up there. WoW. I love Wysocki puzzles, I think I've worked that same one before. Hope you're enjoying a great day!
ReplyDeleteSuch pretty Primroses!
ReplyDeleteThe Primroses are so pretty. I love the colors that they display. Brightens up the spirits during the winter when they are inside.
ReplyDeleteI really like the last graphic...and your door decor is really nice...both inside and out.
Such pretty flowers and I love the puzzle. Maybe since I retired I might start doing puzzles again. I feel like my cat would try to mess me up though.
ReplyDeleteWeather makes play and fairytales with us :)
ReplyDeleteThe nice flowers soon can enjoy life under open sky.
Very big puzzle!
Such a nice wreath on your door!
Will you miss the snow?
