Some mornings we leave to drive to Willband in sunshine only to find that once we get there we'll be walking in the fog. It's still a nice walk but we don't see much. Of course later in the day the fog will be gone but we prefer to walk early.
Easter will be here before we know it and I see that one of our local delis is advertising Paska ( Easter Bread). I'll be making some very soon and use the breadmaker to mix the dough. I know the sprinkles on top are traditional but we are not fond of them so I'll leave them off. I remember one year when M was about 6 he wanted bright blue icing and I have a picture of him spreading that on that year's Paska.
Sometimes I wish I could post pictures of our grands but not all parents are comfortable with that.
DD Sheila sent me this picture. It describes me very well!!
Thanks for visiting.

Home really is the best.
ReplyDeleteYour fog photo is captivating. Easter bread sounds scrumptious 😋
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the quote about you from Sheila 👑 Really splendid!
ReplyDeleteThe photo of your early morningwalk looks romantic.
I also don't like colored decorations with sugar on cakes.
I think, you have very sweet photos of your grands.
We have a lot of fog his year too.
ReplyDeleteI do know about this bread I will have to look it up.

Yes, sometimes it's nice being at home doing ordinary things ...
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
I quite agree with not posting pictures of family and friends online. You do hear some horrible stories about people getting hold of the pictures and changing them.
ReplyDeleteThat pasta bread looks very interesting.
I've never heard of paska, but this sounds so great!
ReplyDeleteI'm so impressed at the fact you walk so early and in any conditions. I seriously wish I could do that. For instance, it is rainy and chilly here today so, I'll get my walk in at the gym.
ReplyDeleteI love being home too, doing ordinary things 🥰🩷
ReplyDeleteI've never made Paska, it sounds delicious. We have a lot of fog here, but today, it was beautiful and snowy. Loving the snow. I love to be home, it is my favorite place to be!
ReplyDeleteIt describes Mrs. F.G. well too!
ReplyDeleteI like foggy walks once in a while.
ReplyDeleteI've never made Paska. Maybe this year will be the first.
The picture describes me well too. :). I think there are more of us around than people think.
The fog is beautiful, unless one has to drive in it. I'll be making Paska in the week before Easter. A family favourite. I make buns rather than loaves - easier to serve, and to share.
ReplyDeleteMe too happy at home doing ordinary things!
ReplyDeleteBeing at home is the best!!
ReplyDeleteThe fog looks a bit scary but the Easter bread looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteYAY for home sweet home and for ordinary, little things - which are really big things. Best wishes, Virginia
Ha I think that's me too....happy at home doing ordinary things. Wish my hubby felt the same way. He wants to go, go go. Oh well. Your Easter bread looks delish. diane in northern wis
ReplyDeleteIt's fun, but a little scary, to walk in the fog.
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of Paska, but it looks so pretty. I bet the blue icing was something to see!
ReplyDeleteThe fog picture is beautiful, very ethereal.
I don’t know Paska but it looks very good. We also had a special long brioche for Easter that we got after church on Easter Day. Your picture at the end is familiar to me as well!
