It's a quiet day. Very warm and sunny. GD Kate came for a short visit as she normally does on Sunday mornings. She brought us a Costco chicken...the kind that is predone, still hot and fragrant. IF I ate meat I'd eat that chicken. As it is DH has his next 2 or 3 suppers all planned.
We had lunch and now she left and I'm ready for a nap. Foolishly I drank maybe 4 oz of coffee last night and as a result I was unable to fall asleep until 2 A.M. It's not that I don't know what caffeine does to me but I take the chance anyway. So foolish. I will rest then later Youngest will come to play Dominoes. Maybe others will join in. So the day goes.
Thanks for coming by.

Lovely illustration and post. I cannot drink anything with caffeine past 1 p.m., so if I have a cup of coffee or tea I only have it in the morning with breakfast, and never more than 2 cups.
ReplyDeleteI won't be able to sleep at night if I have more than that.
Rotisserie chicken is always lovely to have, it can be a wonderful staple for any meal.
Happy Sunday Wishes.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Sounds like a nice Sunday. My mother LOVED dominoes and used to play at the senior center every week. She took it a little too seriously, though. She was cutthroat!
ReplyDeleteI can relate. I've had caffiene too close to bed before as well. Sounds like a lovely day though.
ReplyDeleteWhat a thoughtful present from your granddaughter. Sounds like my kind of day...
ReplyDeleteHave a nice new week!
ReplyDeleteI really dont like decaffeinated drinks, the taste is never the same.
ReplyDeleteHello Granny Marigold! Those are the little pleasures in life that, even when you know they might affect you, are almost impossible to give up. I do not drink coffee myself, but I do love an iced chocolate, so if someone told me I would not be able to sleep afterward, I would happily drink another one anyway! 😊 Wishing you a wonderful week ahead...
ReplyDeleteI was very restless last night and I didn't have caffeine. We had a storm early morning that worked me after getting to sleep

ReplyDeleteNice day, but sad about the caffeine. I did not you didn't eat meat.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a nice day. Dominoes is a family favorite in our house. We used to play every Sunday when my in-laws were still here. I sure miss them and our very competitive afternoons.
