June

Happy Monday and the First Day of June.  It started out at 10C and most probably will rise to close to 30. Summer has arrived. I think we missed Spring. Our Winter was quite mild and sort of slid into Spring and now we're in Summer.
I'm doing laundry as usual on Monday but I plan on doing some outside puttering before it gets too warm. I've already done some much needed deadheading of a white Rose. The faded blooms look so bad. The pink Roses and the red ones look far less ugly as they dry up.

We had some lovely walks on the weekend.  I like the way the tall grass grows on either side of the path.

See the bunny?

Sheila took this picture of the Blue Moon.  Did you stay up to see it?

I'm off to work outside.  Thanks for coming by.

  1. Like you, I have done laundry this morning but it doesn't look nearly as pretty on my washline as on your meme. I also baked buns this morning as I got up very early. (No, we didn't stay up to see the lovely moon!) I have been puttering outside before the heat of the day hits as hubby is topfilling my flowerbeds with new soil. I'm sure the weed seeds in there will sprout soon so as to keep me weeding for awhile.

  2. I did see that moon, unexpectedly, when I took out the trash ;-) I wished there had been someone else out at that moment so we could share the experience, but I just got to thinking about the way I was silently and anonymously sharing it with millions of people. It's always comforting to muse on how constant a presence the moon has been to humans since its beginning.

  3. Getting outside before it gets too warm is always the best idea.

  6. Today was a beautiful day to work outside here, however, I was doing laundry and some other needed homemaking tasks inside. I hope your time outside was prosperous.

  8. That does look like a great place to walk. My favorite is the last meme. Sometimes I long for simpler times.

  9. Happy June!! Monday was laundry day for me as well. The bunny is cute sitting in the tall grass. We had heavy cloud cover so I didn't get to see the Blue Moon. Sheila took a lovely photo.

  12. You got so many chores done! I hope you managed to find some time to rest. What a beautiful little bunny it was the absolute perfect moment to take a photo! As for the Blue Moon, I couldn't stay awake past 3:30 a.m., so unfortunately, I didn't manage to see it.

  13. We saw the blue moon on our way home, but I was too tired to take photos. It was lovely.
    Don't work too hard!

  14. It's Tuesday afternoon now and we are inside after a day of some work, some appointments, some sitting on the patio under the shade umbrella. It's nice to have downtime on a warm, not quite summer day.

    Happy Wednesday!

  16. We've had a mix of still needing the heat on mixed with the air mixed with windows open. Today I'm outside reading blogs with a cuppa. I love the tall grass you showed. I love being outside too. Wishing you a Happy Summer with lots of fun ahead.
