The weather today has been strange. Sunshine then clouds with heavy downpour and back to sun again.
I love the way raindrops sit on the leaves of Lady's Mantle.
We dropped off a box of 'stuff' at the thrift store then went on to visit Eldest for a short while.
I promised DH I'd be quick when I went into the store and I did my best to be. I found a pair of brand new slippers to replace my old bedroom slippers that did not look presentable any longer. I like fuzzy slippers to slip my feet into at night when the wood floor is cold no matter what the season. I would have liked these to be pink like my old ones but I'll be content with brown.
I also saw a complete set of Royal Albert china in a pattern I didn't know existed.
Peach Rose has very pale Roses and gold trim around the edges. I wouldn't want a set of this pattern but I did choose a single 8" plate for my collection. ( In case you think I don't actually use my china.....I use a different plate every morning for my breakfast).
Here is the corner of my kitchen where I keep some of my plates. DH made the sort of stand for them but it has no room for more. I think I have a plan.....
That's it for today. I'm so glad you came by. Thank you for all the lovely comments on my messy and disorganized garden.

How lovely that you use your pretty plates with a different one each day at breakfast! That's such a lovely idea!
ReplyDeleteGlad you found some new slippers, too!
Hope your weekend is lovely.
I have pretty dishes for the cat but boring old black and white for me! Betty
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely idea, using a different plate each morning! I've been in teashops where they serve the food on mis-matched old-fashioned china and it looks so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love your plate collection! I use all my pretty things for every day as well. Sorry I haven't been by to visit very much lately. It is early morning as I write. I got up at 4:00 so I could have some alone time and have enjoyed visiting with my friends in the world of Blog!
ReplyDeleteI just love thrifting, don't you??
I love the pretty plate that you bought. Any china with roses on is good!
ReplyDeleteI love the Lady's Mantle plant, I'll have to look for another one. Plate is so pretty, I like that you change it up every day. We ate at a restaurant one time and all the place settings were different. I like that look.
ReplyDeleteSadly, my Lady's Mantle plant died over winter but yes, I love the way the water drops sit on the leaves. Lucky find with those fuzzy slippers. Like you, I have never heard of that Royal Albert pattern but it is lovely.

Have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteExactly right on Spring weather!
ReplyDeleteI love it that you use your pretty dishes.
How nice that you use a different plate each day.
ReplyDeleteI too like to see water drops on leaves.
Beautiful raindrops, pretty plates and lovely slippers!
ReplyDeleteI too like the way raindrops sit on the leaves of Lady's Mantle, a nice photograph.
ReplyDeleteYour new slippers look nice.
Happy weekend wishes.
All the best Jan
Your weather is a lot like ours. We just got new slippers for husband. I do love your new plate.

My mother had mismatched plates and such and I thought it was charming. Each one a piece of art. I love wearing slippers, too, but they cannot have fuzzy insides. I really love moccasins.
ReplyDeleteThat meme. It represents Nebraska too although today it's thunderstorms, hot and humid.
ReplyDeleteI love that new plate. I've thought about getting odds and ends of china to use daily because I think they're so pretty. Your new slippers look super comfy too. I think you found some great things in your short thrifting trip.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy
You are right about Dori…apparently, she’s in the hospital; don’t know why. It’s worrisome…hope she’s going to be alright and is able to let us know something.
ReplyDeleteI like those furry slippers! Cool find!
Love that plate…pink roses? 🌷😂
Big hug

I like that you use your pretty plates everyday. Important to use them and enjoy life!
ReplyDeleteI love that you use your plates. I do too. They sometimes get chipped or even broken, but I prefer using them to having them sit in a cabinet.
ReplyDeleteThose slippers were a great finds.
