These first two are quite dilapidated but the others, especially the third one, are in much better shape.
I like the last one, the more 'ordinary' one, the kind you might actually see in the older part of town.
What fun it would be to fix up one of the less decayed ones and bring it to its original beauty. ( My DH does NOT agree. )

I can understand your husband's feelings, but it would be great if one could afford to pay someone else to fix one of these up! I would go for a big farmhouse like #2. My daughter and I like the idea of a family commune and this would work perfectly. Lots of room and a barn for her critters! (Isn't that a barn I see on the right of the house?) It's awesome to see the detail in these old places!
