Thursday Chit Chat

We finally got our truck back. The small mishap that happened way back on June 6th meant we drove first one rental car then another ( the first one was too hard for me to get in and out of). The second one was really nice and had some great features but we still  missed having a truck. The crazy way people drive I only hope we can avoid any more such happenings. Fortunately we didn't have to pay for anything because it was 100% the other guy's fault.

Our few tomato plants are doing so well.  Toasted whole wheat bread with lots of mayo topped with slices of tomato. Yum.

It's only 26C today but there are warnings out that we're in for very hot days.  I hope the predictions are wrong.

We needed to buy a new blind for the bedroom window.  I didn't know that blinds don't come with cords that you pull any more. Of course changing the blind led to washing the window then the lace curtain. Got that done and now it looks good again. The old blind had spaces where the slats had broken.

That's about all for now. Tomorrow is a big day. I'll be telling you all about it.

Thanks for coming by.

  1. I also hope the predictions are wrong! It is 26 here today as well in Montreal, after 3 days of the upper teens to early 20's. The tomatoes look delicious! As far as blinds go, it's amazing how quickly technology advances.

  3. my husband had an accident with his truck just as we were coming out of Covid. He was driving at night and 2 deer walked out in front of him. he did not dent anything but because of the quick evasion the air bags went off. It was weeks and weeks to get that truck back they could not get the new sensors.

  7. I'm so glad that you have your truck back. That's a long time for the repair. We will be finding that out firsthand, I believe. We were in an accident (no one hurt) on Sunday and we will find out on Monday what the repair shop thinks needs done on it. Then the wait will begin.

  8. Glad you finally got your truck back. Sure took long enough. Is your. tea pot a Memory Lane pattern. I had that pattern on my set of china but gave it away to my daughter. I have three tea cups and saucers.

  15. I'm glad that you got your truck back. That took awhile didn't it? We had our car in for a small body repair, (front fender), and they had it for almost 5 weeks. No rental. Happily we were out of town for several of those weeks and didn't need it.
We have some of those blinds with no cord. I think part of the reason they came out was for safety with little ones. No cord to get caught up in. I do like them too. Easier to work. :-) I still can't put up a post on blogger. Very frustrating.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy
