We did the weekly grocery shopping this morning. Eldest daughter came at lunch. She made us a living wreath for the front door.
DH brought out the old sled and propped it up outside and hung some greenery on it. Later I hung some old skates on it as well.
Eldest collects miniatures and this fridge is quite something. The attention to detail amazes me.
The little drawers all open, in fact the fridge comes with an assortment of tiny food. ( If I'm not mistaken the fridge is about 10 inches high.)
We went downtown yesterday to look for something not all that important and the traffic was terrible.
We decided to turn around and go back home. We'll get what we need after Christmas. ( The grocery store at 7:30 AM was not busy though.) Do you have all those last minute things?

Thanks for visiting

Your daughter is very talented. The wreath is beautiful. The miniature fridge is amazing.
ReplyDeleteThe vintage illustrations at the end of your post are captivating.
Your front door decoration is very nice. I love miniatures and also have a fridge. All shopping is done for me fortunately! I wanted to wish you in return a Very Happy Christmas to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteThat's a very attractive wreath.
ReplyDeleteI put our grocery order in yesterday. What we haven't got, we'll do without! The shops are only closed for a day or so anyway 🤷
Such a beautiful decoration in front of your house!
ReplyDeleteI think I never have all the details for Christmas, but the holy child had nothing and we are not perfect, but the child gives us the peace.
She did a great job on the decoration! Love that. Minis are my thing too. So fun. Does he photograph his?
ReplyDeleteLOVED the first picture of you peeking around the open door. That whole picture would make a beautiful Christmas card.
ReplyDeleteI "think" I have all of the last-minute things, but just in case I don't we will be going to town on Monday to deliver a couple of Christmas gifts and will be able to pick up what I need then. The little snowmen in the graphic in the end are so cute...and that mini fridge is amazing!
I love the photo of you peeking out of the door…so sweet…and that wreath is beautiful. Lots of traffic, lots of folks running around and yes, I still have last minute things to get to….we are hosting Christmas dinner so I will need to get to the market for fresh items. I love Christmas and all that goes with it. The miniature fridge is interesting! Thanks for sharing and have a happy day. Virginia
ReplyDeleteLovely wreath!
ReplyDeleteI always avoid shopping during this week before Christmas, but am trying to be more accepting and thankful about how difficult it can be.... I'm going tomorrow to the nearest market, for the last few things I need before my family arrives the same evening. After that, they can do the necessary shopping ;-)
ReplyDeleteBut today, I get to stay home, and be the queen of my realm and the servant at the same time <3
That's a beautiful wreath and the old sleigh is lovely. Fun to see you peeking out the door. I have almost everything - there will be a few last minute needs but the store isn't too far away.
ReplyDeleteThat wreath is gorgeous! And I love the sled next to the door, too. How in the world can they make such tiny things as the food in the refrigerator?!? Amazing I have last minute food shopping to do. I think I've finished gift shopping.
ReplyDeleteHow sweet she made you that wreath. I am with you avoid the crowds. No last minute shopping for me.

Oh the tiny refrigerator is so cute. I love anything miniature. Pretty wreath and I love the picture of you peeking out the door. :)
ReplyDeleteI think I have all of those little things....let's hope so! I like your sled and wreath :)
ReplyDeleteI do like the photograph of you peeking out of the door.
ReplyDelete... and that is a lovely wreath.
All the best Jan
Yes, things are busy now but we are pretty well set, so don't have to go out right now. Will have to travel to daughter's about 3 1/2 hours away on Christmas Eve. Praying for safe roads. Merry Christmas to you, Granny and all. Love your decorations!
ReplyDeleteLove the wee fridge!
ReplyDeleteI picked up my last-minute things today. I think i got them all, but who knows?
The porch decor looks great!
I need to pick up a few groceries tomorrow - not really last minute and not a long list. Hopefully I can get in and out in a reasonable amount of time!
