It wouldn't be Monday for me if there wasn't laundry to do. I don't use my clothesline very much ( but I should). I found this list of rule for hanging clothes and I thought it was cute. I always used to hang socks with their partner and all facing in the same direction. Don't you love that third 'rule'?
Besides doing laundry I made 4 jars of Strawberry/Rhubarb Jam and 6 of Cherry Jam using fruit we froze last summer. We were completely out. We'll be fine for a while now.
It's not a very clear picture but here are the tulips in my front garden
And here are some in the park where we walked this morning.
Thanks for visiting today.

Beautiful photos, I love the illustration and your jam sounds delicious.
ReplyDeleteYour tulips are beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteI always followed rule three when I hung clothes on our rotary line!
ReplyDeleteI agree with the washing hanging illustration. But I do not hang much outside now but use the dryer. I only hang outside when the weather is hot
ReplyDeleteI love the rules!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely tulips, so Spring-y! Those are great rules for the clothes line…number three the most important! 😁 You’ve been busy, I bet the jams are delish! Have a delightful day, Virginia
ReplyDeleteYour tulips are gorgeous! The clothes line rules made me chuckle, especially #3.
ReplyDeleteThose rules are correct! :-) We followed every one of them when I was a child and I did the same when I had a clothesline. Thank you for the fun reminder of simpler times. I do miss having a clothesline. I think I may get one of those portable racks for the balcony where I can dry some things.
ReplyDeleteThe tulips are so pretty and I would love to taste that cherry jam.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy
Tulips are so lovely! Have a nice day.
ReplyDeleteI can remember my Mother with rag in hand walking down the clothesline cleaning as she went. Precious memory. I know your homemade jam must be delicious, sure would be good with my toast and coffee this morning. lol
ReplyDeleteI remember the days of hanging clothes on the line. I was a child, helping my ,other. I'm not sure if we followed all of those rules.
ReplyDeleteI like my clothes dryer. :-)
The Tulips are beautiful! And, I had to chuckle as I read down over the list of rules for clothes hanging. They were pretty much my mother's rules word for word. :)
ReplyDeleteThose clothes lines rules made me smile :)
ReplyDeleteLovely to see the tulips.
All the best Jan
I do rules number 4 - 8. Sometimes on those very cold days they get dried inside on my drying rack. As you probably know I don't even have a clothes dryer.
ReplyDeleteThe tulips are beautiful.
I actually follow a few of those clothesline rules! Your tulips are lovely. I am thinking about planting some bulbs this fall.
ReplyDeleteWonderful tulips! And so many. Adorable!
ReplyDeleteThe rules of hanging the whash are pretty :) I do the same with my socks- - - But my pegs hang outside all the year :)
If I don't clean my house, it is no Monday - - -
Good rules...I never liked to use shared clothespins as it made gathering hard and no clothespins were never left on the lines:) I wish I had a clothes line here:)
ReplyDeleteThose rules are spot on! Funny, I did all of those but never thought about it, just common sense I guess?
ReplyDeleteYour garden is so pretty! And so are the tulips in the park.
I need to make jam soon, to use up some freezer fruit.
Beautiful tulips! And that last illustration is lovely
ReplyDeleteI still use my washline for bedding, towels, and jeans. However, mom always said to hang socks by the tops so that no bugs or biting insects could crawl inside! Personally, I am abit OCD about hanging towels....all of them must hang so that the bottom of them at the same height from the ground - drives hubby abit nuts, lol.
