Winter is here

Although winter doesn't officially arrive until tomorrow,  here in B.C. I think we'd all agree it arrived overnight. Here are some pictures:

                                                The bird bath is heaped high and snow 
                                  is still falling!!

                                                 
 

    My DIL  out with the kids having great fun. You can see the snow coming down! So pretty!

    It looks so pretty! I've been getting snow pictures on Facebook from all my BC/Bellingham area friends. Ours is supposed to arrive tonight and tomorrow. So I guess I'd better get all last minute things done this morning.

    Why is it that pictures of your snowfall are so much more beautiful than all of the snow that I see from my window? Perhaps it's because our windchills have been colder than -30 for most of this week (and most of this month???) But certainly the snow, like icing sugar dusted on the evergreens and the snow sculptures in the garden make for beautiful photos.

    Winter indeed is upon us. Here in ON we are getting blasted with ice storms, mainly in the Toronto area. In Sarnia where I'm at, a good 3 hrs from TO, we had nothing, just rain! Hoping you have a very Merry Christmas, Diane
