Monday was a busy day, as Mondays always seem to be. Besides the usual laundry I sowed some flower seeds in peat pots just to give them a head start once the earth has warmed and I can put them in the ground. I don't imagine the Sweet Williams will bloom this year but the Nasturtiums and Morning Glories most certainly will.
Our Lilacs are blooming and DH brought some in. I also have a Hyacinth in a vase in the kitchen and the scent of these two old favourites is almost overpowering.
I made another of my Impossible Pies. This time with rhubarb that was from our own garden. It is delicious and if you want the recipe just look for Impossible Rhubarb Cake and you will find it.
picture is from the internet.
That was yesterday and now a new day waits for me to decide what I'll do next. I hope your day is a good one!!
Thanks for coming by.
Leave a comment so I know that you did💗
Yes, only giving up NOT eating chocolate. :-)
ReplyDeleteI guess it's about time to bake my rhubarb cake. Maybe for Mother's Day. Maybe I can find some "kids" to feed it to.
How nice that you plant flowers and for me it is the most beautiful and enjoyable activity!! Your rhubarb dessert looks wonderful. The blooming lilacs in the vase are wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteHow do you get Lilacs blooming already? We won't see them until the third week of May!
ReplyDeleteI love the chocolate quote! Lilacs are such a lovely Spring bloom and smell beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI don't have any lilacs :( They are wonderful and so fragrant.
ReplyDeleteLove lilacs. I've noticed the ones in town are just starting to bud. LOVE that saying.
ReplyDeleteThe lilacs look beautiful.

Punctuation poster is excellent! I must look up impossible cakes; i have a vague memory of making one once.
ReplyDeleteI also have made rhubarb dessert. I love the quote with chocolate, I love chocolate too much!
ReplyDeleteOur lilac is a little bit later than yours. My dear husband now started some or more different sorts of tomato-plants in little bowls, but they still are sleeping - -. My Monday is also always very busy by cleaning the house. The Rhubarb Cake looks very delicious! Can you send me one piece of it? :)
ReplyDeleteYou did have a busy Monday! We enjoy rhubarb here, so I will need to check out the recipe. And I love the little meme at the end of your post.
ReplyDeleteCan you believe I have never tried rhubarb. Now this makes me want to go find some and try it! Those flowers are amazing and I bet the scent is, too.
ReplyDeleteLilacs and hyacinths have such beautiful scents. I was thinking that it's time to do something with the rhubarb here, too. Your impossible pie looks so good. Enjoy today.
