I have two sisters both much younger than I. Both are talented women ( I'm tempted to call them girls because that's how I think of them). My youngest sister has begun her Christmas baking and shared her pictures of some of the results. With her permission I'll share those.
The first picture is a pretty arrangement she made from thrift store finds.
...and her lovely cookies!!!
This sister has 8 young grandchildren for whom she bakes several times a week. Bread, buns and cookies are quickly eaten and much enjoyed.
Thanks for visiting

Beautiful cookies indeed! I think my days of making platters full of Christmas cookies are over -- too many of the family don't eat sweets. But I did buy the ingredients for one kind... And Trader Joe's has truly yummy Christmas cookies every year which I can have around for the culinary traditionalists.
ReplyDeleteI think Christmas homemade decorated cookies are much more of a thing over with you than here in England; they look so enticing.
DeleteTJ's to the rescue . . . i'm all for it!
DeleteBeautiful cookies. I used to bake Christmas cookies but this year the grandchildren are not there so I may just bake a little.
ReplyDeleteYour sister is a good baker - like you! - - You are the "big" one! - - Always in connection with the two "little girls", who enjoy you in a special wise. Nice to hear and see something from them ❤️🩵🧡
ReplyDeleteI love the decoration!
Those cookies are beautiful decorated! Mine never looks like that! But as long as they taste good I am satisfied :)
ReplyDeleteYour sister is very talented! Those cookies look to delicious to eat.
ReplyDeleteThose cookies look so very testy!
ReplyDeleteThat was meant to be 'tasty'!
ReplyDeleteHer cookies are beautiful! Thank you for sharing them with us. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks GM, as long as you know that you have been a big inspiration to me all these years!
ReplyDeleteYour baby sister
This is one talented lady with a lot of patience! Everything looks beautiful. I admire women who are so resourceful that they can take a thrift store find and turn it into something as lovely as what your sister did! Thanks so much to you (and to her for giving her permission) for sharing these beauties with us.
ReplyDeleteYour sister is indeed talented. Those are gorgeous cookies. I would hate to eat them! I'm going to take my sugar cookie recipe with me so I can bake with my granddaughter in London. We've never had that opportunity before.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Beautiful cookies.

Hi GM! Wow! Your sister is a fancy baker! Cookies are so cheerful! Have you started your holiday baking? I have not. I hope you are doing well! xo
ReplyDeleteTHe cookies look wonderful, almost too nice to eat!!! I bet they are delicious.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful! Nothing like fresh baked goods and from the heart makes it even better.
ReplyDeleteThose cookies look good and I do like the meme :)
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
I will start my Christmas baking after Christmas. I thought I might get out of some of the baking, but I have been informed that I can't skip any of their favorites, so I guess I'll be a busy baker again. So glad that Tom helps.
ReplyDeleteWow I love all those cookies. They are very fancy indeed. You make many things that look terrific too, Granny. I used to make fun cookies at Christmas time, especially spritz, roll-ups and sun buckles. but now I don't seem to have the energy to do that anymore. I am always happy to accept cookies gifts from friends though! :)
ReplyDeleteShe is so talented My goodness, those cookies look like a professional did them.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cookies. It takes patience to do all those straight lines. I love baking for Christmas and share plates with neighbours. I've not yet begun baking - I usually start after Advent begins.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing that. Talented sister, you have there.
ReplyDeleteWow, what lovely cookies, must be a lovely sister also. Wishing you a happy weekend, Virginia
ReplyDeletesuch pretty baked goods!
ReplyDeleteLove the vintage Santas, so charming. Christmas is coming! xo, Virginia
ReplyDeleteI love the hair on the gingerbread cookies. The snowflakes are very cool looking as well.
