I started this post this morning but obviously I didn't get very far. Granddaughter Kate came by for a visit which she often does on a Sunday. While she was here she showed me how I could try different fonts ( I am so very technologically challenged) so that will explain the different "look". We had a lovely visit and she left, back to her busy life :)
It was raining when we went walking earlier. As we often do we chose to drive to Willband Park to see if the swans were still there...and they were. So many of them!! There were also many Mergansers, one of my favourite birds! In spite of carrying an umbrella I got somewhat wet.
Yesterday we took a drive to my favourite plant shop. I chose some pretty African Violets, a cheery yellow Primrose and a couple of ferns. There were Hellebores on sale and I chose 3 white ones. They're still very small but they are blooming. All 3 are white.
I also got some cut flowers
The lilies are still tightly closed. I wonder if they will be white or maybe yellow? Either colour will be fine.
Thanks for visiting

How fun to have your granddaughter drop by. Someday when Piper is driving, maybe she'll do the same. You found some really nice flowers. It sounds like someone is getting spring flower and missing her garden.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
It's a very nice font....but a little harder to read, sorry!
ReplyDeleteThe first image made me smile. Your photos are beautiful and heartwarming.
ReplyDeleteFine desgn! Oh you have a lot of rain )=)=)=)= . We are rather cold and have some clean snow. Your flowers tell about winter in a warm house and about the coming spring. Yes, the days still become a little bit longer.
ReplyDeleteI like the new font! It's easily read as well as quite attractive. It's like getting a letter from you! :)
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are gorgeous! I wish our house had better lighting.
A truly lovely day. Enjoy the fonts! We love them over here. Tim downloads new ones when he finds one he thinks I'll enjoy. So fun. Happy New Week! Cheers, Ivy.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy forming the image in my mind of you walking in the rain and being out there with the waterfowl. It sounds lovely, even if you did get wet.
ReplyDeleteYour home is filled with spring.
ReplyDeletenice to have your grand pop in weekly.
Cathy
Ah, woman after my own heart! Such cheerful flowers.
ReplyDeleteLovely to have fresh flowers in the middle of winter :). I really like that little saying at the end of your post, so true. ❄️🌸🌨️🌺❄️
ReplyDeleteGood morning! I love the snowman picture
ReplyDeleteI like your new font, I've always been partial to any kind of script. Loving all your new plants and hope you'll share pictures when the lilies open. I'm not familiar with Mergansers, so I'm going to check them out. Hope your day is happy and blessed.
ReplyDeletePost Script: I went to the Bird Audubon Field Guide and found Mergansers, I enjoyed learning about them. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteNice flowers and new writing on your blog
ReplyDeleteWe also can change the colour. Your snowman could be here so much snow! We are no more used to it! I stay inside!
The swans are back at our lake. I'll have to share a funny photo I took a couple of weeks ago. Your flowers are all so pretty. I'll look forward to seeing what color the lilies are.
ReplyDeleteAlways lovely to see flowers.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
