I can't ressist buying flowers even if it's probably too early. These Marigolds and Pansies ( or maybe Violas) I got about a week ago. The Marigolds are doing fine outside but the Violas are not. I put them in small pots and had them on the kitchen window sill where they were not thriving. Today I planted them outside where I hope they'll do better.
Leopard's Bane is an old fashioned flower that faithfully blooms every Spring.
I kept a couple of white geraniums through the Winter. They're getting very lanky and will soon go outside.
We're having a sunny day and temperatures of 20C (68F) . I spent as much time as I could outside because showers are predicted for tomorrow.
Hope you had a lovely Friday!!

Your plants always look so bright and healthy. It is so hard to resist buying flowers to plant. Seem like we wait so long for spring. I'm glad you finally had a good day to get outside. We have rain coming in for the weekend. We really need the rain too!
ReplyDeleteThose are some pretty flowers! It is way too early here:)
ReplyDeleteI bought a vew violas today. It's not too early to put them out. We worked in the yard much of the day, appreciative of the sunshine.
ReplyDeleteAll so pretty, the pansy are my fave though, with their little "faces" 😊
ReplyDeleteHope you have a pleasant weekend. Rain on the way but that's ok.🌷🌼
Beautiful flowers, I am a great fan of Violas.
ReplyDeleteAlways good to see flowers. Sounds like you had a nice day. Send some some this way, ok?
ReplyDeleteI buy things too early too! What color are your marigolds? Are they red? I think probably your violas will do better now they are outdoors. You must have a great green thumb! My Christmas Cactus has no more blooms!! Enjoy! Nancy
ReplyDeleteYes Nancy, the Marigolds are red. Aren't they cute? And, you're right about the Violas doing better outside. Already they have perked up.
DeleteOh so pretty and joyful looking flowers!!!!!
ReplyDeleteNever heard the name Leopard's Bane. But I love the name! And it certainly even sounds old fashioned. :-)
Not doing any of this yet, here. Old Timer's always said, "no planting, till Memorial Day".

Leopard's Bane's official name I believe is Doronicum.
DeleteI was at our favourite nursery yesterday, and spent about $60! The geraniums were on sale and I bought a few bedding plants and lots of tomato plants. Need to get to work transplanting the tomatoes. Wasn't it beautiful yesterday?:-) Got some garden cleaned out and am planting seeds this morning. I love those red marigolds!
ReplyDeleteI am working on my wish list and will be going there one of these days. No doubt I'll be leaving some serious money there too.
DeleteLove the red marigolds! I've never seen them. Love the pansies too.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend.
Robin
Lovely flowers!
