Purple
Just for fun I went around my house looking for purple things to take pictures of.
The cute little light purple bowl I bought this week at the thrift store (.50) The Quail eggs are from the grocery store ( DH kindly "blew" them out then made himself an omelette.
I have had the yellow piece for over a year but can't decide what it is... a mug? Also I have nothing else yellow it seems so I don't put it out much.
Then I went outside to get a pic of my Pasque Flower which amazingly knows just when to flower no matter how early or late Easter arrives. It doesn't need supporting so the rusty old wire cage is there to mark the spot since the plant will basically disappear until next Spring.
A purple Hyacinth just opening.
And a purple Pansy to end my purple post.
I hope you are having a good week-end!
Thanks for visiting,
Granny Marigold

I love your purple things! I'm jealous of your beautiful flowers... we still have one small pile of snow in the front yard, but tomorrow's 60 degree temps should take care of that and maybe thaw the ground so we can begin working in the gardens! Happy weekend!
ReplyDeletePurple is so pretty. I have lots of yellow and not much purple.
ReplyDeleteI just love that yellow mug. Yellow is my favorite color!
ReplyDeleteAnd the blooms are a welcome sight, I'm sure. We're still "all brown" here......but suppose that's much better than white!
Loved all your purples! That little teapot is so cute!!
ReplyDeleteOhhhhh I love shades of purple and violet!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd such pretty little vignettes you made.
Mmmmm, that yellow cup has a handle, so I guess it was meant, as a cup to drink out of. But I have one, with maybe less undulations than yours, and it can be difficult to drink out of. So yours, was probably just meant, to be pretty. :-)
Ohhh, when I see violets here, I will finally know, it is spring!!!!!!! -happy sigh-
Love your pix: so pretty for Spring & Easter. I never heard of Pasque flowers before. Can you cut them? I think the blooms would look beautiful in your yellow bowl. I'm guessing it's a vase. Purple is a lovely color. Sandy
ReplyDeleteHi Sandy, Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. I'm not too sure if you have a blog or not but if you do I'd love to visit.
DeleteWhat lovely purple things! I am off to find some purple pansies tomorrow. Our local gardening centre is opening!
ReplyDeleteHave a good day.
Robin
All of your pretty things make such pretty arrangements. You reminded me that one year I also bought some quail eggs at Easter. Is the embroidery by your hand, too?
ReplyDeleteNo, I picked it up at a thrift store. I think of all the hours of work went into embroidering it.
DeleteLovely purples:) Your dresser scarf is beautiful, the embroidery is lovely :)
ReplyDeleteI love the purple! Such lovely shots!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your Purple Post! It is amazing about the Pasque Flower.. how it knows just when to bloom. My cactus (which I thought was a Christmas cactus) is blooming now, too.
ReplyDeleteAll of your purple things are so pretty...and I liked the quail eggs, too.
My Christmas Cactus also has some buds!!
