Books 'n Bears

I found these children's books at the thrift store. I bought the first two especially because of the illustrations. The Velveteen Rabbit I got because I love that story.


            This Foxwood book makes me think of the Brambley Hedge books.





I couldn't resist buying these bears. They looked at me and begged to come home with me. What could I do?

             When I spied this sweet little bear with all her bling I didn't hesitate for a minute!!
               She cost me all of one dollar!

      Hi Nancy, I just did a rough count and came to 40 bears but under my bed are stored those that only come out in winter and also the Spring bears. So you see I have a problem!!
      I usually collect books that have either sentimental value or if I love the illustrations.

    Foxwood Tales books hold darling drawings, but the stories aren't as intriguing as Brambly Hedge.

    Cute books and cute bears! I have the Osh Kosh one. At some point it got stripped naked and became a dog toy. I think it was probably Tucker that ripped his brains out. Poor thing ;-(

    The very thing happened to me a few years ago at Christmas time, when I was in a thrift shop and about eight holiday-themed bears asked me to take them home to decorate with :-) I thought the grandchildren would like them, and they are so easy to take out of a box and set around the room...
