Books 'n Bears

I found these children's books at the thrift store. I bought the first two especially because of the illustrations. The Velveteen Rabbit I got because I love that story.

This Foxwood book makes me think of the Brambley Hedge books.

I couldn't resist buying these bears. They looked at me and begged to come home with me. What could I do?

When I spied this sweet little bear with all her bling I didn't hesitate for a minute!!
She cost me all of one dollar!

I hope you're having a lovely weekend.

Thanks for popping by,

  6. Do you collect children's books or only certain ones? Nice place to set your new bears! How many bears do you have now? Nancy

    1. Hi Nancy, I just did a rough count and came to 40 bears but under my bed are stored those that only come out in winter and also the Spring bears. So you see I have a problem!!
I usually collect books that have either sentimental value or if I love the illustrations.

  8. Foxwood Tales books hold darling drawings, but the stories aren't as intriguing as Brambly Hedge.

  9. Cute books and cute bears! I have the Osh Kosh one. At some point it got stripped naked and became a dog toy. I think it was probably Tucker that ripped his brains out. Poor thing ;-(

  10. The very thing happened to me a few years ago at Christmas time, when I was in a thrift shop and about eight holiday-themed bears asked me to take them home to decorate with :-) I thought the grandchildren would like them, and they are so easy to take out of a box and set around the room...
