It was clear and cold at 5C ( 41F) this morning. I wore my winter coat for walking. There's work being done in the park. Detours mean new routes but lately I've had trouble walking as far as usual so we've got a shorter walk that we now do.
Yesterday we celebrated Kate's 37the birthday. She's our oldest grandchild and a real sweetheart.
Full moon tonight.
About the recipe for Impossible Quiche I think the easiest would be to do a search on line.
Unfortunately I don't know how to put in a link.
On the first of the month I was going to post about the amount of daylight we lost in September but I forgot. Apparently we lost 1 hour and 45 minutes in this area. You may have lost more or less I imagine.
Here's a thought for today: The circle of the seasons turns and never comes back quite the same.
Thanks for coming by. Have a great day.

Yes, weather temps in 40's are beginning to be rather winter-like to this southern girl.We have just touched on higher 40's once so far. But then the days warm up to 70's rather quickly.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo and lovely illustrations. Happy Birthday 🎂 🥳 to Kate. Your thought for today is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteEin Geburtstag ist immer ein wunderbarer Anlass um zusammen zu sein. Das ist hier auch so. Das untere Bild mit dem Haus im Oktober ist sehr romantisch.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's very noticeably darker in the morning and especially in the evening.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up on the supermoon.
Happy birthday grand daughter! You are right, there is nothing quite like the thrill of becoming a grandmother.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your grand! It is getting darker, and colder, here in Kentucky. I enjoy the change of seasons.
ReplyDeleteYou did have a chilly walk this morning. I'm walking longer and longer in the dark!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to Kate. 🎈
Happy birthday to your granddaughter. We were in the 80s about 30 degrees above normal. But the big cool down is coming.

Who is the beautiful young girl beside lovely Kate? My congratulations for both! The sentence of the birth of the first grandchild is really true. It was the same feeling and life-station for me with Lena's birth ..Oh, the supermoon! I heard about it from my sister and said to her, that I'm shure, that dear Granny Marigold will tell us something of this moon in her (=your) blog ⭐️✨🌟💫
ReplyDeleteWer ist das hübsche junge Mädchen neben der lieben Kate? Herzlichen Glückwunsch an beide!
DeleteHappy Birthday to your beautiful Granddaughter!
ReplyDeleteThat is chilly! Brrr.
ReplyDeleteI was too tired to look at the moon last night, and tonight it is clouded over.
I hope you are well?
Happy Birthday to Kate! I love your new blog header. We have been in the 40sF in the mornings here the last few days. It warms up to the upper 70s. We've had the windows open quite a bit and it has been nice. I did find a few recipes for the quiche and there is one that I want to try soon.
ReplyDeleteWith the bright sunny days and clear skies, the nights are definitely colder. Grandchildren are so special and I'm glad you were able to celebrate with your granddaughter.
ReplyDeleteI went outside to turn off my sprinklers and noticed the large beautiful moon. I thought that maybe it was what they used to call a Harvest Moon. Actually I really don't know what a Harvest Moon is. 🌘🌕🌒🌛🌝
ReplyDeleteIt's so cold in the morning but a little hot in the afternoon here. I love the supermoon! My husband and I got to take a pic.
ReplyDeleteOh, I cannot wait for 41 degree days - I forgot what those felt like!
ReplyDeleteHi...I had to take a screen shot of the one about the birth of the first grandchild...I sent it to two others. It is sooooo true. Nothing like hearing someone say Mamaw!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to lovely Kate and her delightful grandmother! xox, Virginia
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your granddaughter.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a wonderful week.
All the best Jan
