Tonight the Beaver Moon will be shining and we have clear skies so we'll be able to see it in all its splendor. Of course I have to add some trivia... from the internet.
The November 2025 full Moon is a supermoon, which means it's a full Moon at the closest point to Earth in its orbit.This occurs because the Moon's orbit around Earth isn't a perfect circle. Instead, it's elliptical, or slightly egg-shaped.
My Gloxinia has three new flowers and several buds. I can hardly believe my luck since mostly I buy either a Gloxinia or an African Violet in bloom and once they finish blooming that's it. I can never manage getting them to rebloom.
Our temperature this morning was 0C and there was ice on the truck windows. Clouds are moving in tomorrow and will bring slightly warmer days but very wet. Walking this morning was lovely. I wore a scarf for the first time this season. It's beginning to feel like winter.

ReplyDeleteI saw this moon! It was really very great, when it came on early evening up to the sky. It was a clear night and the moonlight was very bright. So I did nearly not need a pocket lamp, because I was with my sheep, whwn the "Beaver Moon" arised.

Interesting moon facts that I didn't know. I've never heard of a Beaver moon before. :-) I used to have such good luck with violets, but not for the past ten or so years. Mine hasn't re-bloomed either. It just sits there in all of it's green glory. I guess I should be glad that I haven't completely killed it. The doors and windows have been wide open here during the day but tomorrow night is supposed to be 19F so I think that will be the end of that. We'll see. I've know Thanksgivings in the past where we took walks with no jackets.
