No doubt you know why leaves turn colour and don't need to read about it again but I thought the wreath of leaves was so pretty. All the different colours we can find when we go walking.
Unfortunately my walks have had to be very limited due to the ongoing leg problem. I take short "noticing" walks for the time being.
In other unfortunate news DH fell in the bathroom last Friday during the night fracturing his right wrist
( luckily he's left-handed) and gashing his forehead. His arm is in a cast but he is still in quite a bit of pain. I seem to remember that when I broke my wrist as soon as the cast immobilized my arm it quit hurting. He'll be seeing the doctor next week so we'll see how that goes.
October is a busy month for our family. Two anniversaries, several birthdays, and of course we celebrate our Thanksgiving. This year it will be on the 12th of the month and GD Kate will be hosting it. She's one of those with birthdays this month as well as Eldest Daughter and Youngest Son.
I've been rereading some Rosamunde Pilcher books and enjoying them as much as the first time.

I am so sorry to hear of your DH fall and injury π₯Ίπ«π«π«π«π Lord have mercy π
ReplyDeleteI read a few Rosamunde Pilcher books a long time ago. I enjoyed them at the time.
ReplyDeleteThere's just the first hint of color on the maple and dogwood trees outside my upstairs window. I'll have to get outside this afternoon and take a walk around the yard. Tom went to breakfast with out me this Friday morning, but I did make it to grocery shopping with him. I'm still having the bad effects of whatever this is. I need it to go away before Sunday morning. We are celebrating the twins 85th birthday, Tom and Jan. Our family will be there.
Oh dear, GM. I sure hope your husband is OK and gets relief soon. Sounds like October is going to be a busy month for you; with all good things!
ReplyDeleteOh so sorry that you are still in pain and that your husband fell and fractured his wrist. My husband is left handed also.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty time of year. Some years the colors are better than others.
That is a lovely wreath of leaves and I enjoy seeing their glorious Autumn shades.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to read about your ongoing leg problem and 'DH's' fall.
Sending healing wishes and good wishes.
All the best Jan
Praying that your husband heals completely and that you have a wonderful and colorful October.
ReplyDeleteGranny Good Saturday, Andreja!
ReplyDeletePraying for your leg to get beter and for your husband to heal well from his fall. So sorry to hear about this. Take good care you two.
ReplyDeleteOh no! Let's hope recovery starts soon!
ReplyDeleteOh, no! A fractured wrist is zero fun. My mother did the same thing in a fall. I hope it heals quickly. I would be more concerned about head injury!! I have never read Rosamund Pilcher, I don't think, but I have seen that author's name.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about your husband's broken wrist. Our big dog Ellie knocked me down and broke my wrist a few years ago. We may not have pretty leaves this fall due to the terrible drought, according to the weather people. Dead brown leaves are falling already.
ReplyDeleteOh dear GM, very sorry to hear about DH accident. Hoping healing is happening already. Leaves slow to change here in NE Ohio, but the fall weather is lovely.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your bad leg and your husband hurting his wrist! I hope you both are getting better soon. Take care of your selves and let the rest of the family take care of preparations for the celebrations.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry your husband fell always scary. And sorry you are still dealing with leg issues.
ReplyDeleteWe just celebrated our anniversary.
The leaves here are beautiful this year.
Cathy
Oh, I'm sorry to read of your husband's fall. I hope the pain eases soon, and I hope your leg heals, too.
ReplyDeleteOctober is a wonderful month to celebrate lots of things!
so sorry to hear about your husbands fall and injury. And a bad leg is no fun at all, hope you both have a better week!
ReplyDeleteOh, dear! That wrist injury must be trying his patience -- hopefully building it. God bless him. And you being patient with your leg... I hope you both keep in good spirits and find yourselves very thankful for your feast coming up.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear that you are both battling painful things another moment. I do hope you will recover swiftly.
ReplyDeleteI love the leaf colors! I’m so sorry about your DH and his fall. And your leg. Darn anyway. I hope you two are doing better each and every day. Enjoy all your celebrations this month and take extra good care. Happy wishes, Virginia
ReplyDeleteIt’s still warm here today and foggy this morning. Tomorrow rain and it will be chilly autumn day!
ReplyDeleteI hope your husband will feel better. I only take showers now. I also had problems walking during our holidays but I think I walked too much 6kms a day!
I'm so sorry to read that DH fell. Sending well wishes.
