More Rambling

We seem to be back to our milder West Coast weather and I am happy to see the snow gone. I walked by the lake this morning and all the icy patches along the asphalt path have melted.  I saw this busy little Winter Wren flitting about in the shrubbery next to the path. He (?) seemed quite unafraid but wouldn't stay still long enough for a photo so here's one from the web.

After I came home I had to go buy carrots so I could make these yummy carrot/apple muffins. The recipe actually is called Morning Glory Muffins. They also call for coconut, chopped nuts, and dried cranberries.  They are just full of goodness.

Having worked so hard , *smile*, I took a break and had a muffin and called it lunch!

Now I'm off to the library to take some things back and pick up others.  Have a great week end!

  1. Thanks for letting me know there is a sequel to Harold's Journey! I will look for that! I also was surprised how much I enjoyed that book....seemed to have threads of redemption in it.
