Today would have been my mother's birthday. She was born in 1913 and died in 1984. Much too young. I think of her so often. This is one of very few photos of just me and her. For some reason when I try to enlarge the pic it goes all blurry so I'll just leave it as it is.
GRANNY MARIGOLD
I just love this picture of you and your mom. She is very attractive and you look like a little movie star. Seriously, you do but I can't think of her name.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Henny. You look like a young Natalie Wood. Lovely photo.
ReplyDeleteAw sweet picture!
ReplyDeleteThat is too young, my dad died at 61, so sad that he missed all his grandchildren but one, and she was only 2 when he died. My mum is 86, but her days are numbered now:(
Beautiful! God bless you as you remember your mama.
ReplyDeleteI love the picture! :)
ReplyDeletePS The squash is for sale on Downes Rd, about 1/4 mile east of Mt. Lehman, on the south side. If they are still open you can't miss the sign.
ReplyDeleteThanks for that info. Maybe we'll see if they're open tomorrow. We're planning on going to Devan in the morning to browse the craft fair so we'll be close.
DeleteDevan is having a craft fair? Wow, that would be a fun place to have one. We are at the market tomorrow and it sounds like the weather is going to be MISERABLE:( Maybe I will get a chance to stop by Devan.
ReplyDelete8:30 till 6 tomorrow. Apparently they have had it in previous years and I never knew. If it wasn't for my DIL I would have missed this one too but she gets their e mails.
DeleteHow nice to have a picture of you and your Mom to remember her birthday. My Mom was born in 1911 and was 91 or 92 but had Alzheimer's at the end. I still miss her. Nancy
ReplyDeleteI too thought alot about Mom and the many birthdays we celebrated with her. So hard to believe she's been gone so long already. Thanks for posting this picture in remembrance of her.
ReplyDeleteMy mom is 82 and not in the best of health. I am so lucky to still have her. I've been taking a lot of pics of her lately, with me, my sisters, her grandchildren and great grands. I want them to remember her when she is gone.
