This afternoon I realized that today was the last day that Trethewey House was open for touring until the new year. This is the Craftsman style house built in 1920 by the man who had the mill on nearby Mill Lake which is where I walk almost every day. So in spite of feeling under the weather off I went with my DH. The only rooms decorated for the season were the living and dining rooms but I always love to walk through the whole place.
We have had a very wet week with a bit of a break on Wednesday. I didn't walk yesterday nor today.. didn't feel up to it and I thought I'd do best to stay home warm and dry so I'd shake this bug. I did see that the elves had added a few more ornaments on the tree in the park. It's looking quite pretty.
Hope you have a lovely weekend.

I've been thinking about and hoping you were feeling better. This is not a good time of the year to feel bad. Of course, there's never a good time either. I love that house and would love to move in today. I would not change a thing! That is sweet how elves add ornaments to the tree in the park.
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better soon G.M. What a beautiful house the Trethewey house is! I love the panelling.
ReplyDeleteTake care.
Thank you for the lovely tour. We like touring older homes and president's homes. I hope your feeling up to par soon! Nancy
ReplyDeleteI hope you are back to your spry self very soon! Good idea to skip the walking for a while. The tree in the park is SO cute! I love it! God be with you as you celebrate the season, GM!
ReplyDeleteStay warm and dry! Hope you feel yourself again soon. The elf tree makes me smile. :)
