April Sunday

It was a beautiful day for a walk. We walked in a dog-off-leash area and were often surrounded by dogs, all well-behaved. We find 99% of dog owners are friendly and have good control over their dogs.

This picture was taken off a little bridge. The stream looked a lot more impressive on the other side but there were too many dogs ( and owners) in or near the water there for a nice photo.

When we reached this bench we were more than happy to sit down for a rest. Good thing we were on the way back and didn't have too much farther to walk.

We passed the local Tulip Festival but didn't stop. The parking area was very full so I'd say it was a success. Way up on the side of the mountain are townhouses and in one of them our oldest son and his wife live.

That was it for this first Sunday in April. Are you ready for the week ahead? What plans do you have?

Thanks for dropping by. I do enjoy your comments so don't be shy.

  2. I love that you have spring! Very cold here with a prediction of snow :-( I am ready for next week. I will attend my knitting group tomorrow morning and meet with a group of retired teachers for lunch and I go to story hour at the library with my granddaughter on Thursday morning and my book club meets on Thursday for dinner and book discussion. Not too busy this week, just enough to keep from getting bored!

  6. Hi! Looks like a lovely walk. How far was it? The first part of our day was cold and windy but then the afternoon warmed up. Suppose to get cold again. Two doctors appointments and a vet appointment this week! Nancy

  9. That looks like a very pretty place for a walk. I would be awfully tempted by that tulip festival as the little glimpse is so colorful.
I'll be working every day this week which is unusual as I usually only work a few days. The good news is that working from home I can still find time for some time in the garden and keep up with the housework.

  12. Skagit tulip festival is in a big spring of people, we went to La Conner instead then up to Anacortes, it reached 75 and above, we had fish and seafood reasaonably in La Conner! Anacortes was trendy but we did find a pottery place a fellow was throwing his pottery, I got a neat mug he even made a top for my tea I imbibe many times daily $4.00 but it was outside of the town of Anacortes, also snagged some honey and Marrionberry Jam for little money, we drove back to our tiny place and enjoyed the Tulip bulb festival in our county. Washington state they say the meterologists that this will be a very warm summer not like last year but warm, bring it on, tomorrow the 6th of april suppose to get to 78 I cannot wait..Spring has alrady sprung and summer is not far!

  13. I think I know where you walked. We have been there several times, although not lately. It's a nice walk though. Such lovely weather we had, and maybe some more coming. I should make a point of at least driving past those tulip fields, they look so pretty:)
