Congratulations and Happy Anniversary! What a beautiful bride and handsome groom. I just love seeing pictures like that one. It is neat comparing this picture to the one in your last post...you still have that sweet look and your husband still has that serious handsome look.
I saw that dress in Winnipeg but it was priced way out of my range ( $500 at a time when I was making a dollar an hour). I did a sketch, took it to a local seamstress, and had the dress I wanted for a fraction of the price. I can't remember if the sleeves did come to a point and unfortunately, with one of our moves, the dress got lost.
I should have posted pictures taken later in the day. Photos were not allowed during the ceremony so this one was taken after all the people had filed out. We probably felt we should be appropriately serious.
Happy Anniversary!

ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary, such a beautiful photo.
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary! Your gown is beautiful, satin I suspect, and I wonder if the sleeves came to a point over your hand...and that veil...lovely:)

Happy Anniversary! I vaguely remember that day!

I'm surprised that you do. You were only 5 years old!!
ReplyDeleteMostly it's the "no-chast" that I remember....and the sip of wine I was allowed to have :)
ReplyDeleteA "no-chast" for anyone wondering what the heck that means, is the family and close friends party that happens AFTER the reception.
DeleteHappy Anniversary! I would like to see a picture of the both of you smiling ;-)
