Here's the rock amid some of the glass.
On a much nicer topic my Bonica Roses are full of buds and more open every day!! See my scissors hanging on the little post? That's so I can quickly do some dead-heading when I am on my way to wherever.
These are my Rugosa Roses, also in the front yard, but on the other side of the front garden bed. Most of them are the dark pink ( and very scented) except for the one on the right which has smaller flowers and is a lighter shade of pink. You can just see my white one on the right.
It's a pleasant day, mostly overcast, but cool so I'm baking bread in my thrift store pan which I'll show you next time. It's a long skinny pan, very different so of course I had to buy it ( .50).
Thanks for visiting. I love to read your comments so don't be shy!!

Ugh, how very maddening and frustrating about the rock! Your roses are lovely, we have a similar light pink Rugosa that is just about to start blooming. I have a question. Do you ever do jig saw puzzles? If so I have the PERFECT one for you!
ReplyDeleteWe used to do jigsaw puzzles but in recent years we seem to be otherwise occupied.
Delete"Disconcerting" must be an understatement! Yikes!
ReplyDeleteYour roses are beautiful - so healthy looking.
How awful, I really hope it was some sort of an accident rather than thrown with malice. Beautiful roses.
ReplyDeleteOh, it was no accident. Whoever it was threw it with such force that it went through the window, over the back seat then hit the dash in front, breaking the little heater vent thing!!
DeleteGranny Marigold, I am so sorry about the rock through your window, how terrible!
ReplyDeleteOn the bright side your roses are stunning.
Looking forward to seeing your "new" bread pan.
Take care.
Robin
You called the Police, didn't you?
ReplyDeleteThat rock didn't just fall from the sky.
Bet there are more acts of vandalism, going on, around you.
Terrible!!!!
Actually, the police took note of it ( as malicious vandalism) but there's not much they can do about it.
DeleteSo sorry to hear of your smashed window. I did smile abit though when I read how it tinkled as it fell apart as you were driving - same thing happened to me so I could picture it well. It's unfortunate that people have such disregard for the law and randomly vandalize.

Once a rock was thrown through our living room picture window. I felt so violated and distraught. Years later we heard from a neighbor boy that someone had done it on a dare.
ReplyDeleteYou are a true gardener. Hanging the scissors right by the flowers that need deadheading!
ReplyDeleteThe roses are so gorgeous!
I'm so sorry about your car! Boo!
I am so sorry about your car window! Why are people so destructive! Love your pink roses. Nancy
ReplyDeleteYou grow such beautiful roses. It's terrible that someone would do such a mean thing to break the windshield.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry about the rock being thrown into your car window...and the results of it. Wow!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful roses! You have a green thumb, for sure.
What an awful thing to see first thing in the morning. I'll never understand how some people act. Grrr...
ReplyDeleteYour roses are just beautiful. I'd love to get a whiff of them too. Your well placed scissors are a real timesaver, I'm sure. Seems like no matter how organized I start out I'm constantly searching for one of my smaller gardening tools.
WoW..that's terrible. What pleasure did someone find in throwing a rock through your car window? Your flowers are so pretty, enjoyed the pictures!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful roses and not so much the rock through the car window :(
