Sunday
Another quiet Sunday afternoon. Not much happening here. We did go to Lowes and stood in line to get in, keeping our distance from everyone else, and in their garden centre we found the Early Girl tomato plants we wanted. So far I had no luck finding them elsewhere. I found some Snapdragon seeds that I wanted and have now sown them inside. I don't remember from other years but the package says not to cover the seeds. I found that different but that's what I did. I hope they all grow because I love Snapdragons.
A few cute things I found on FB recently then I'm off to sit on the porch and do more relaxing!!
This last little cartoon which is very apt for myself and my DH as we lose our hearing.
Thanks for coming by,
Granny Marigold

Funny memes! I've been thinking about visiting the local greenhouse. Not sure I have the drive to do justice to a garden. I'd have to start from scratch making raised beds or something. We have 100% sand here. Oh well. I can THINK about it, anyway! :)
ReplyDeleteLove your posters... especially the dogs wondering why humans are wearing muzzles.
ReplyDeleteYour dog cartoon is too funny and the hearing one is too apt, lol! You'll have to keep us updated on your self-seeded snapdragons. I, for one, have little luck in growing them even if I buy the nursery plants....someone tell me why they won't bloom for me as I love them! I am envious of your outing to the greenhouse! Ours are not yet open!

I bought some seeds, too! I didn't read the snapdragon package. I didn't know that!
ReplyDeleteLove your little funnies and inspirations....hope you're doing well! Thanks for a great blog!
ReplyDeleteI love Snapdragons... all the lovely pastel colours... with an occasional red. Hope they grow for you.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your spell on the porch...and thank you for the smiles

Very cute dog post and other funnies. Stay safe. God bless. Hugs, Kathi
ReplyDeleteThank-you for the great chuckle :))
ReplyDeleteLoved the cartoon, and the expression on the dog's faces is priceless.
Your Sunday Blessings picture is so pretty. I hope your Sunday has been a good one. Mxx
Cute cartoons, especially the last one. I wanted to go to Home Depot today but when we drove by the line was ridiculously long. I can't plant for a few weeks anyway so I just decided to wait. The rule of thumb here is no planting until after Mother's Day. Otherwise there is a great chance of it freezing completely.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,

Glad you managed to get the tomato plants and seeds you wanted. Out Garden Centres are closed at the moment but we can order online. A fun post that made me smile. Take care and stay safe.
ReplyDeleteI love that last... it is so us!
ReplyDeleteGood morning, GM! Ah yes, that last cartoon — quite the norm for us as well!
ReplyDeleteI love those dogs!! Yes, this too shall pass. I think we're all learning to have a little more patience.
ReplyDeleteLoved the cute meme GM! Made me laugh. I must admit....I sorta sneaked out of my house to run to ACE to pick up some bird seed. My goal...go straight in...get bird see and leave! Well....Garden center was calling my name...............However, I must have went at a good time because not a whole lot of people in garden section and what few there was was keeping their distance with masks. GIRL...I snatched me up a few pretties and was in and out in no time. But...I had to rebel! LOL! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteThe "This Too Shall Pass" sign is outside of the hospital, where a lot of employees eat lunch. It's wonderful to feel support from the community.

These are so cute...but that last one sounds like Poppy and me, except I'm the one losing my hearing. He makes it worse by sitting in front of the tv with his back to me while I cook in the kitchen. Keeps me busy saying, WHAT?? :)
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the cartoons. What expressions on the dogs faces!! :)
ReplyDeleteThis too shall pass, was something my father always said to me!
We are grateful for the laughs and chuckles we get from things posted on line. Laughing is good.
ReplyDeleteSnapdragons are a favorite of mine also. And my grandmother always had them in her gardens.
