Thrift Store Finds

7C this morning with the chance of drizzle at some point today.  I don't have much planned for the day. I already did a load of laundry that didn't get done on Monday.

On a  recent trip to the thrift store  I found this pretty quilted piece that I like a lot and found a good spot to prop it up in a sunroom window. Some of my Marjolein Bastin pieces also occupy the shelves.

On the same trip I saw this table and it was love at first sight. I thought about where I could put it and finally decided I better not buy it. The next day I still couldn't get that table out of my mind so we went back and got it. It was a good 10" higher and I asked my DH to cut the legs down, which he did. Now it stands on the porch fitting exactly between 2 windows!! I love the tiling on it.

I think it's time to make a pot of tea....these days it seems I'm choosing Lemon/Ginger most often.

I hope you are also having a relaxing day.  Thanks for taking the time to come for a visit.

  1. That little quilt was quite a find. So much work in the applique'. It looks great in the sunroom window. The table is really pretty, escpecially with the tile pieces around the top and bottom. Do you know what that bottom shelf with holes is for? I don't think I have ever seen one like that.

  2. You were right to go back the table, it is adorable. Funnily enough I was thinking about Marjolein Bastin yesterday.
