7C this morning with the chance of drizzle at some point today. I don't have much planned for the day. I already did a load of laundry that didn't get done on Monday.
On a recent trip to the thrift store I found this pretty quilted piece that I like a lot and found a good spot to prop it up in a sunroom window. Some of my Marjolein Bastin pieces also occupy the shelves.
On the same trip I saw this table and it was love at first sight. I thought about where I could put it and finally decided I better not buy it. The next day I still couldn't get that table out of my mind so we went back and got it. It was a good 10" higher and I asked my DH to cut the legs down, which he did. Now it stands on the porch fitting exactly between 2 windows!! I love the tiling on it.
I think it's time to make a pot of tea....these days it seems I'm choosing Lemon/Ginger most often.
I hope you are also having a relaxing day. Thanks for taking the time to come for a visit.

That little quilt was quite a find. So much work in the applique'. It looks great in the sunroom window. The table is really pretty, escpecially with the tile pieces around the top and bottom. Do you know what that bottom shelf with holes is for? I don't think I have ever seen one like that.
ReplyDeleteYou were right to go back the table, it is adorable. Funnily enough I was thinking about Marjolein Bastin yesterday.
ReplyDeleteA very pretty table and the quilted piece is lovely!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty post today. I especially like that framed quilted piece.

ReplyDeleteThe little quilt piece is so nice.
ReplyDeleteThe table and the quilt are both lovely finds at the thrift store. The slight drizzle this morning has turned into steady rain now at mid-afternoon.
ReplyDeleteThe table looks great ...
ReplyDeleteI did smile at your last meme, great words ...
All the best Jan

ReplyDeleteYour new table is so pretty. I'm glad you went back and it was still there. ☺️
ReplyDeleteYou found great things at the Thrift store. The quilt and table are so cute. I went to the thrift store some days ago and hoped to find some Easter decorations to have on our balcony. But they were totally sold out of Easter stuff! I saw they advertised they had put out the Easter stuff some weeks ago, and heard that there had been lots of people that day. So it looks likeI was too late :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finds!
ReplyDeleteWhat terrific finds. Love them both. I can see you sitting out by that little table with your tea in your hand, sipping away. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteThat quilted piece is beautiful! I love how you have it displayed.
