Snow

All day the snow has quietly fallen turning our world lovely and white. More is expected in the days to come so I think we'll just stay home and be cozy. Best to stay off the roads any way.

I have bread rising in the oven and it will be ready for our soup and bread supper.  I wonder what you're having tonight?

These photos are off the internet as I'm too lazy to go outside and take photos.

  1. I noticed you would be having a snowy weekend. Good plan to stay home off the roads. We are supposed to get a storm next Tuesday/Wednesday.
For supper we had a huge salad and "Fishless Fish Fillets". They are yummy!
Your supper sounds delicious. I think I will make some soup tomorrow!
    Take care.

    2. Hi G.M, The fishless fillets are from a company called "Gardein" . They are actually called "Fish-free Golden Fillets". The company I believe is out in B.C. So you should be able to find them. I have bought them at Walmart, Sobey's and Food Basics. Hopefully you can find them. They taste like fish but of course no fish in them. Have a good weekend!

  2. We've had a cooler day here, not even close to having snow. Hot soup does sound good on cold winter nights. Hope you're not too sore after your fall.

  3. We got a wee bit of snow today too, just a dusting really. We had leftover chicken pot pie. We usually have pizza on Fridays but I forgot to take the dough out of the freezer! Have a nice weekend!

  4. Your snow is beautiful but I hope it stays there. We have not had a lot so far but it is cold! I have been making Taco soup but I don't put as much seasoning in as we don't care for hot things. Hits the spot these days. What kind did you make? I want to get back to finding time to make bread too! Nancy

  5. I don't know how you resist the urge to play in the snow--I just love winter. Those pics are beautiful, aren't they?

  6. Falling snow is beautiful...

    Snow cover is beautiful...

But best to be prepared, to stay home, and be cozy. Driving in snow, can be hazardous.

Here, Sat. dinner, will be left over baked chicken, and a baked sweet potato, maybe some frozen peas for color. :-)

Enjoy your cozy time. It is the best thing, about winter! :-)
