The Hollyhocks are blooming!!
And the Daisies
Even the Dahlias are finally beginning to bloom.
A few months ago I picked up a small fondue set for a dollar at the thrift store but we hadn't tried it out yet. So while they brought many of their stuffed animals up and arranged them on the table I melted chocolate and cut up strawberries and bread to dip. I am so aware that this stage will pass and tea parties will be a thing of the past so I treasure these times with these last 2 grands.
Since I can't show you my grands I'll show you some of the other invited guests.
I wonder if Eeyore enjoyed the party or if he was his usual morose self? He didn't say a word so we hope he was glad he was chosen to join in.
Thanks for visiting today. Please leave a comment so I know you came by!

Your flowers are beautiful! What a lovely tea party... Eyeore looks about as happy as Eyeore can so I think he enjoyed himself!
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful get together with so many guests. Love the idea of using the fondue set.
ReplyDeleteHow cute! Fondue is a lot of fun. Your garden is glorious!

I loved having tea parties with my grands when they were younger. times to treasure, for sure.
ReplyDeleteWhat a precious idea!!!!!! A Tea Party, for special guests!
ReplyDeleteI am happy to see, that you don't show your grands!!!! My family did not want me to show mine, when they were little. But it seems, as if EVERYONE does show pics of grands.
Do they know, how dangerous it is, to do so, on the world wide net?????!!!!!???????
I have told them. But I think they choose to believe, that won't happen to THEIR family. -sigh-
Beautiful flowers!!!

I remember you mentioning planting your dahlias before mine. Looks like they survived the wet soil and cold just fine!! i'm hoping for the first bloom in the next few days. Aww that is so cute, the tea party, yes enjoy it while you can!
ReplyDeleteI love your hollyhocks! It seems that the single blossoms are hard to find these days. They're my favorite! Yummy looking fondue, and the guests are darling! :)
ReplyDeleteHow in the world have I missed four of your posts! I love that you had a tea party with your grandchildren. My oldest daughter had tea parties with her children. Your flowers are simply amazing! If only I could bake like you and grow flowers like you. I get excited over finding one flower blooming in the yard. Those pillow shams you found are beautiful. I like how the one looks on your table. You have such pretty things. Oh, and the raspberries! How big the plants are! The pictures of you are wonderful. Wish I could be there picking raspberries with you. I am going to put on my 'to do' list...grow Hollyhocks next year!
ReplyDeleteLove your tea party! My 5-yr old granddaughter often invites me for "tea with the queen" to which she dresses up and informs me on how I must address her royal majesty. Precious times.
ReplyDeleteI don't think even Eeyore could be gloomy when faced with a chocolate fondue!
ReplyDelete- Sheila :)
That was such a sweet party, loved all the guests. Precious Memories!!
ReplyDeleteI admire your hollyhocks especially - I have some this summer but they are obviously not happy compared to yours!!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a fondue pot, which is probably why I never thought to have such a tea party with the grandchildren. When we have our parties I'm always looking around for little items to cut up on to little doll plates... I should keep my eye open for a fondue pot which would really come in handy!
P.S. I think I would like to come to your tea party! Yummy chocolate and strawberries!!! LOL Nancy
ReplyDeleteYour tea party sounds like fun! Your Hollyhocks are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful grandmother you are........your grands will always remember the tea parties and you! I love your lovely flowers and flower garden!
