A Little Surprise Gift

When I go on my morning walk through the park and by the lake I often stop at the little lending library near the parking lot. The books inside are often in a jumble and I take a few minutes to make some sort of order. Imagine my surprise when I opened the little door to see this  inside.

The cards below were inside the little package...

....along with this adorable little felted lamb..

Isn't that a great idea?  Whoever Jeanne is she must be a delightful and generous person .
I LOVE little surprises and this was a lovely way for my day to begin.
By the way, do any of you know how to felt?  It looks very complicated but I like the finished products.

See you next time!!      GM

  2. Oh how wonderful is that! Don't you just love it when something like that happens. It just makes your day! I'm not sure if that is needle felting, but if you want to be amazed, google images of needle felted dogs.

  3. Wow! How wonderful! That is a fun thing to discover. I checked a new little free library the other day and found 3 Chronicles of Narnia books! I'm glad someone came up with the idea of free lending libraries. ;)

I've never felted before. I'm sure you could learn how to do it on YouTube. You can learn anything there. : )

  7. That is so sweet. What a fun surprise. Glad it came to you. Oh Granny Marigold, I have just caught us with your last few posts...can't wait to see the finished shelves for your teacups, and I love how you used the big mirror outside. My friend Nellie gave me two large mirrors she picked up at the landfill. I need us use them somewhere outside.
