My DH built these 2 benches out of scrap wood left from previous projects. A coat of dark stain masked any difference in the kinds of wood. I had many of my plants on low tables in front of the sunroom windows but they took up too much space. This works out much better.
Small changes keep me busy while I wait impatiently for nice weather. It's another damp day here.
We had a pleasant walk and not enough rain fell to bother opening umbrellas.
In the garden I noticed that the Leopard's Bane is starting to open and one or two tulips seem to be ready to open as soon as the sun shines.
Otherwise it's a very quiet day.
Today's teapot
Thanks for coming by, GM
I have clumps of green coming out of the ground now and they grew about 8 inches in two days! Seriously. I couldn't believe it. I think they might be day lillies but I don't know flowers very well.
ReplyDeleteThe benches are beautiful and solve your issue very well don't they? Another very pretty teapot as well. :-)
Blessings,
Betsy
What very neat little benches, ideal for the plants to sit on. So good to 'repurpose' things, isnt it?
ReplyDeleteThat teapot reminds me of Laura Ingalls Wilder!
ReplyDeleteGreat benches
Nice benches!
ReplyDeleteLoving that bench! That teapot is indeed a cutie GM. We have had a beautiful afternoon here in Florida. But, I must say the weather here has been fickle. One day it's raining and we are under tornado watch and the next day it's cool and well...only Florida. But, today, has been simply beautiful. Happy April. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteYour husband made VERY nice benches of grey-painted wood!! I see, he loves and supports your style.
ReplyDeleteThe teapot is really secial nice and rememebers me of Japan - -
We have very cold weather now here in Germany, new snow came - - -
What does it say on the mug in the first photo?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure what it says. I took the image off the internet because I liked the flowers.
DeleteI love your teapots! How nice that you're seeing signs of spring there. We are still inundated with ice and snow. Spring is very slow is coming our way this year. Last year almost all the ice was off our lake by now.....not so this year. The poor Loons won't know where to land when they arrive this year!
ReplyDeleteTake good care, Granny!
The benches are perfect for your plants. Your sunroom is such a wonderful room! I love the teapot!
ReplyDeleteI was out in the drizzle this afternoon noticing that all kinds of things are coming up in the garden. It's exciting to see. The benches are a great idea!
ReplyDeleteAwesome little benches. It is so great when family can make things for us like this. That is a cute little teapot :)
ReplyDeleteI so love the scene on that teapot!
ReplyDeleteI love all of these plants!!!🤩🤩🌱🍃🍃🍃🍃
ReplyDeleteGreat little tables for your plants... how nice it is to make something yourself :-)))
ReplyDeleteWe now also have the rain with us, it's good for the fields and nature... so I pick up the tailor's scissors :-)))
Nice pot, enjoy your tea :-) Many warm greetings to you. Viola
