Street Work, Daffodils, and a Geranium

Our street is being repaved but first the old asphalt has to be removed. It's a smoky business.
A little inconvenient too, for those who want to go anywhere.

We had a nice walk this morning. The daffodils on this slope are all open now.  The forsythia behind them is looking good too.

This is where we walk on Saturday mornings but obviously we won't be able to this week. The paths are flooded as is the parking lot. We've had a lot of rain recently.

I found a lovely scented geranium and brought it home. It's a lemon scented one which seems to be the most common.

That's it for today.  Have a great rest-of-the-week.

  1. I love the sunny yellow daffodils and forsythia. Always such a welcome sight.
I can imagine the lemon scented geranium smells delightful.
That road work does look inconvenient, but should be nice when it's finished.

  2. I love daffodil and forsythia time, along with the early pink plum trees.

  3. The road construction can be messy but it will be nice when it is complete. Daffodils are one of my favorite spring flowers.

  12. No flowers around here yet especially with the blizzard we had last Wednesday but hopefully they will poke their heads up soon. Today is supposed to be 85F! Springtime in the midwest is not to be reckoned with. Ha!
    Blessings,

  13. That has to be a stinky inconvenience! But the flowers make up for it, right?
No plants in any local stores yet. I keep looking though.

I can imagine, that the geranium will be very strong and full of flowers - I ask which color?=?=?=?

  15. I noticed that my nutmeg -- or is it ginger? -- scented geranium is starting to bloom. I know you will be glad when that street paving is over; if it gets to be too much stinkiness, stick your nose in your new geranium <3
