Winter Weather

We are having nasty winter weather. Freezing rain is covering everything and the power is already out in some areas. The rain is falling on last week's snow making walking hazardous and driving  not much better.  The lights have begun to flicker and I have the feeling I better end this and close down my computer!   If you're having any kind of bad weather I hope you stay at home, cozy and safe!

 Isn't that the truth!!

        Thanks for popping by,

  1. We drove home from Abbotsford about 9:30 this evening. The roads were fine, as they were coming in hours earlier. The ice on the trees looked so beautiful with the light shining through it. Funny thing though when we got about a mile from home we realized that much of the ice was gone here. Maybe some warmer air is seeping in from the west.

  5. I was feeling sorry for myself because the furnace isn't keeping it as snug as I'd like, but at least I have power! Stay safe and hopefully you can stay indoors. Praying your power will hold on!

  6. Oh, ice storms are so hazardous for people and plants. Trees break apart and power lined snap. I wish you all well, and hope it is not severe. We have warmed up here to plain old dreary rain.

  7. Well today the freezing rain really got us. Power has been off since lunch time. Massive tree parts are blocking our driveway and ripped our power lines off the main lines. Will get a better look at things in the daylight. Branches and trees still crashing down.

  9. I hope you are staying safe and warm. That freezing rain can look so pretty on the trees, but cause so many problems.

  10. Oh my goodness! That is a scary looking ice storm. I remember one back in the 60's that looked a lot like that. My girls were small. The power was out for days and there was popping and cracking all through the night with trees and limbs breaking and falling. A large pine limb fell across the back of our car and did a lot of damage. Stay safe and warm.

  12. Hi, GM. Stay cozy if you can. I do hope your electricity doesn't go out! Hopefully you have alternate ways of heating and cooking. (We are all electric.) But the ice is pretty ... from indoors.
