Tea Pot Tuesday ?
We had no internet nor cable since Sunday evening . It's nice to have things back to normal.
I did my usual thrift store trip this morning and although I didn't find any teacups that I liked (and that were affordable) I did find a couple of tea pots. This cat one is so cute. Her lid/head is loose so I may have to fix that.
This little 2 cup tea pot would never be big enough for me but at .50 I wasn't about to leave it behind.
The top part is the tea pot and the cup is underneath.
I bought both tea pots with the idea that I'll put them out in my flower garden next Spring. Meanwhile I'll enjoy them in the house ....
... on the kitchen window sill. I even found that I had some other things that could be included in my display.
This afternoon the sun came out and I went out to tidy up my potting shed and do a bit more cleaning up of perennials and pulling more weeds. The rain we got last week sure got the weeds growing. It also put new life in my Daylilies and I see new flowers. I thought they were done for the year. I even have an Iris with buds. The Sweet Autumn Clematis is putting on its usual display.
Thanks for coming by!!

Such a pretty window sill to stand at and do the dishes. :)
ReplyDeleteLove your new teapots....they're both so cute! Autumn is a good time for flowers to get their second winds! And you have an iris blooming this late? Wow.
ReplyDeleteOh, that kitty cat teapot!!! She's delightful and adorable! I laughed when I saw her. What a find! I think she looks quite happy on your window sill and doesn't want to be sent to the garden, haha :) Your garden is looking lovely, esp. for fall. We are so, so dry here.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable tea pot! Girl, we need some rain so bad! My poor pond is moaning and groaning. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

ReplyDeleteYour clematis is amazing!
I love your teapot display! We are going to get some bulbs this year to plant. I haven't planted bulbs in several years as I have not had good luck with them but I am wanting some spring flowers so I'm going to try again.
