It's very quiet around here. Nothing much to blog about except maybe my pot of Spring flowers that I picked up at the grocery store. Flowers make me happy and this year I plan on buying more than ever. Oh I have other "resolutions" too but since I never really manage to achieve them I just recycle the ones from previous years. Do you make resolutions? If you do, are you able to stick to them?
Just wondered.
Thanks for coming by.
Granny M.
These pink primroses are lovely. They are like messengers for the coming time.
ReplyDeleteResolutions? I learned to say: no - - - because I'm happy to come sheltered and quite good through the new year just with God's grace and help.
Oh so nice to see pretty flowers this time of year. No, I don't make resolutions, just enjoy one day at a time. By the way, I started collecting pot holders because of you. Thanks. It is a great thing to collect.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers! My post tomorrow is about being happy about the simple things!! Your flowers made me happy too.
ReplyDeleteNo resolutions here .... just hopes for the year. Much kinder. And more fun!
ReplyDeleteLove your flowers. Thanks for sharing!

I don't make resolutions, although I have in the past had a theme word for the year. But not this year. This year is one to take it as it comes, whatever comes.
ReplyDeleteFlowers really help the dreariness for sure! I've never made a resolution in my life lol. I just live each day as it is! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteI don't make resolutions exactly, but I do try to write down ideas that would be useful to incorporate. I get a lot of good ideas from going to Mass each day during the holidays and beginning of the year. I want to grow and learn and improve! Your primroses are beautiful. I once lived on an island where they grew easily in the landscape!
ReplyDeleteLove your pretty flowers! If I was the store, I would have put a green wrapper on it, though, instead of pink.....the blossoms are so pretty....why distract from them with the wrapper? Ah well.....nobody asked me. We have 36 degrees today....and sunshine....so nice for January. They say it's a La Nina winter which means our temps should be more mild than usual and so far we have less snow too. We'll see how the next few months go! Take good care, Granny!
ReplyDeleteVery quiet day here too. I like your idea to recycle New Years Resolutions! Like you, I enter into every new year with "ideas" of what I would like to do but I'm lucky if they make it to Valentine's day. Chris
ReplyDeleteThings are quiet here too. I do make resolutions/goals and more often than not they do not last long! Especially the one about losing weight, somehow that never quite cuts it past about February!
ReplyDeleteLove your new header, the pansies look so sweet in their cups. I love the colour of flowers around the place, they make everything more cheerful somehow.
ReplyDeleteI don't make resolutions, although 6 years ago I changed the way we ate, and we have mostly stuck with it, and I got the weight loss I wanted. I do start the year trying to clean one thing each day. I forgot the first couple of days, so I need to catch up already, lol. I bought a couple of primulas when Devan was closing. They are outside undercover. I should do something with them. I am so good at buying plants..... and then ignoring them.
ReplyDeleteThose are some gorgeous flowers. The pink is so bright and happy. Very needed in todays world. I don't make resolutions because I know I wouldn't keep them and then I would be upset with myself. I DID choose a word this year though, something I've never done before. I chose HOPE. I need hope and I think most people do.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
No resolutions this year - just waiting to see what the year brings! Love having some bright colours in the house at this time of year. Liz
ReplyDeleteThose are very nice Flowers and a great photo you've taken too. Resolutions? I haven't made any- though I vow to at least get something done each and every day for the New Year. All the best to you G.M. Regards. KEV.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are lovely, and I agree that they sure do beautiful life and lift the spirits!
ReplyDeleteI don't make resolutions in the new year. Feels too much like "rule-following," and I'm not one of those in my heart, haha :) I like to fly by the seat of my pants!
No resolutions made, I'm afraid. But like you, I feel happy when I have flowers around me, especially the new pansies and primroses.
ReplyDeleteLove your flowers! They make me smile this morning. RESOLUTIONS? NOPE! I choose a word to focus on each year but I learned a long time ago not to make resolutions. LOL! I usually don't see them through and wind up putting way more pressure on myself than need to be! LOL! Happy New Year to you dear lady. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteThst flower sure would brighten any spot or heart. I dont make resolutions because I dont feel like I would keep them.
ReplyDeleteWell, being a list maker and note taker, I am bound to make some resolutions and goals. However, some of them, like yours, end up being recycled for the next year. :~) To have more flowers has to be the best resolution of all! I love it!
ReplyDeleteNo, no resolutions here. I can never keep them!
ReplyDeleteSuch lovely flowers - they will brighten your days I'm sure. I am not one to make New Year's resolutions but I did buy a small purse sized 2021 calendar/notebook that has about 2 lines for each day of the year, just enough space for one sentence - I have decided to make it my "gratitude journal" and each day I hope to write down one thing I am thankful for.
ReplyDeleteEllabie
That is such a bright cheerful little pot of flowers. This new year I didn't even think about making any resolutions. I never keep them anyway. I'm just happy about getting to another new year.
ReplyDeletePretty Primrose...such a cheery plant. Nope no resolutions here just a one word intention...this year is safe:)
ReplyDeleteYour bright header with the pansies makes me smile before I ever get down to reading the blog post. The pot of flowers is so cheerful, and we certainly need all the cheer we can get just now. I don't really make resolutions either, but I do think of things I'd like to do.
ReplyDeletethose are such cheery flowers, I like them very much! :) I don't do resolutions either. Just try to keep learning and adjusting one's sails according to life's circumstances and strive to focus on Christ in the midst of them.
ReplyDeleteNice color, your flower is in a really good mood ... I bought hyacinths ... purple :-)) I thought that I would also write in English on my blog, so you can read the entries too .. . there will be some mistakes because my english is not good, but that may not be so bad(?) ... best regards to you in canada. Viola - we have snow now and it's beautiful in the forest :-)) Joy.
ReplyDelete... and I wanted to say - I don't make any resolutions, I try to be happy every day - to have a day when I can be happy about something - today it's fresh snow on the trees :-)))
