It's a pleasant Sunday. We had a lovely walk with the trees and shrubs all refreshed by the showers we had yesterday late in the day. It's not enough to reach the roots but every bit helps.
I had time this week to change the look of my Mom's old Singer sewing machine.
This is before....
...and this if after.
I hope you're having a lovely Sunday!!

I must get to it and change my wreath outside the door! Your sewing machine arrangement is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteGranny Marigold, I love the autumn touches to your mother's sewing machine!
ReplyDeleteI am having a pleasant Sunday! We got out and about for a while yesterday. Today was my physical therapy day, an hour and a quarter of working post surgery body parts. Then I helped Tom with an outside project before making a trip to the grocery store. Lunch on the patio with the Sunday paper was nice. I just finished posting a blog. Now I have to go do the one not nice job. I finally cleaned my very dirty oven - well the auto cleaner cycle did the work - but now I have to go wipe the ashes out. Then there will be more patio sitting. We didn't get any rain here, unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteNice to see that you are keeping that sewing machine! So many people don't anymore.
ReplyDeleteThe same wonderful quote in the holy Bible I read this day!
ReplyDeleteO I know, when one can say: "It's not enough rain to reach the roots but every bit helps."
This summer we had so many water from sky, that we can say: "We enjoy this dry and mild sunny days in September now, because the roots and wells have more than enough water for the whole winter this year."
You made some nice decortation!
Sweet bear in the corner :)
Love your new decorations. Fall is my favorite time to decorate!
ReplyDeleteWe've had a nice Sunday too. The mornings have been much cooler for the last few days. Your fall decorating is so pretty. I haven't done any yet. Love your garden signs! They make your beautiful herb garden even more beautiful. Oh, those sheep made from old telephone cords is crazy. They look so real.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I have a Singer almost exactly like that and I love to decorate it for the seasons too!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful! I have an old sewing machine too, it's fun to have! I am going to change my tabletop soon as well!
ReplyDeleteFall has arrived at your house! Maybe it's time to find where I put mine when we moved. :-) Several people at our church were diagnosed with Covid this week. We missed last week as we were in Spokane. We thought that staying home for a week or two may be a wise idea as we're so close to Mom every day.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Beautiful!! (Would love to have that Singer sitting in my home!)
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize that mom's sewing machine had 2 drawers on each side. Perhaps you could post a pic of it set up? I got Grandma's Singer from Aunt Sue but it only has one drawer on each side. Wonderful keepsakes! Just wish we had a photo of mom sitting and sewing with it! Have you ever checked the serial number online to see when mom's machine was manufactured?
ReplyDeleteL.
Always nice to change things around a bit. The sewing machine looks beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you change decorations with the seasons. It is not something that is commonly done here, yet it is a great way to celebrate the uniqueness of each season.
ReplyDeleteThe old machine looks great with it's fall decor. My Momma had a singer and did a lot of sewing.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the tabletop display on the old Singer! Fall has arrived and it looks so pretty and cozy. That can go right through Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteI love that treadle...I learned to sew on a Singer treadle machine....
ReplyDeleteyou always decorate beautifully.
My mom still has that sewing machine!
ReplyDeleteLove your autumn decorations. How pretty!
